Journal ArticleDOI
The investigation of honey bee pesticide poisoning incidents in Czechia.
TL;DR: It is suggested that the analysis of pesticides in bee bread and in bees from the brood comb is a useful addition to dead bee and suspected crop analysis in poisoning incidents to inform the extent of recent in-hive contamination.
Journal ArticleDOI
Domestic Gardens Mitigate Risk of Exposure of Pollinators to Pesticides—An Urban-Rural Case Study Using a Red Mason Bee Species for Biomonitoring
Martin Šlachta,Tomas Erban,Alena Votavová,Tomáš Bešta,Michal Skalský,Marta Vaclavikova,Taťána Halešová,Magda Edwards-Jonášová,Renata Včeláková,Pavel Cudlín +9 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that pollinators can benefit from domestic gardens by foraging from floral sources less contaminated by pesticides than in adjacent croplands.
Journal ArticleDOI
tau‐Fluvalinate and other pesticide residues in honey bees before overwintering
TL;DR: The multidimensional behavior of pesticides in a bee colony was indicated and the recorded concentrations of tau-fluvalinate should not be dangerous to bees, as the values were ∼ 200-5000-fold lower than the reported median lethal dose (LD50 ) values.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pesticide comparison of Phylloneta impressa (Araneae: Theridiidae) females, cocoons and webs with prey remnants collected from a rape field before the harvest
TL;DR: The results indicate the different distribution or behavior of several pesticides in the spider matrices, indicating that quats should be considered a possible risk for these spiders.
