TL;DR: In this article, several seller-buyer supply chain models are proposed under an asymmetric information pattern, where the seller's setup/purchase costs are unknown to the buyer and the buyer withholds certain information related to market demand.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the short and long-term behavior of agents in implementing the appropriate collecting strategy in a two-echelon closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) management.
Abstract: Closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) management is an environmental approach to supply chain management that aims to prevent hazardous material from entering the nature by means of creating a reverse flow. This paper studies the short- and long-term behaviour of agents in implementing the appropriate collecting strategy in a two-echelon CLSC. In short-term, based on the Stackelberg game, several novel pricing models for different collecting strategies are proposed and compared. Then, the optimal policies of the pricing decisions are determined for each model. The long-term behaviour of companies in implementing collecting process is examined by evolutionary game theory and the most stable strategy is selected. Furthermore, a numerical example is presented to compare the different collecting structures. Finally, a managerial insight is provided to indicate the effect of key parameters such as remanufacturing rate, marketing elasticity and government subsidies on selecting the appropriate strategy.

TL;DR: An economic order quantity model for non-instantaneous deteriorating items with and without shortages to investigate the performance of the vendor-managed inventory (VMI) system shows that VMI works better and charges lower cost in all conditions.
Abstract: This paper develops an economic order quantity model for non-instantaneous deteriorating items with and without shortages to investigate the performance of the vendor-managed inventory (VMI) system. This model is developed for a two-level supply chain consisting of a single supplier and single retailer with a single non-instantaneous deteriorating item. A numerical example and sensitivity analysis are provided to illustrate how increasing or reducing the related parameters change the optimal values of the decision variables of the two proposed models. The results show that VMI works better and charges lower cost in all conditions.

TL;DR: The essence of green marketing is to respond actively to man's increasing concern for ecological environment and make choices and decisions in marketing by adhering to the environmental protection principle and the (ecological) principle and building up green technology, green market and green industry.
Abstract: Green marketing stems from the degrading of ecological environment and consumer's increasing sense of(environmental) protection. The essence of green marketing is to response actively to man's increasing concern for ecological(environment) and make choices and decisions in marketing by adhering to the environmental protection principle and the(ecological) principle and building up green technology, green market and green industry. Therefore, green marketing has profound ethical connotation. However, green marketing in present Chinese enterprises is actually in conflict with the logics of enterprise behavior.

TL;DR: It is shown that by integrating the rough approach with the traditional fuzzy approach, the subjectivity that exists when defining the borders of fuzzy sets is eliminated.
Abstract: This paper presents a new approach for the treatment of uncertainty which is based on interval-valued fuzzy-rough numbers (IVFRN). It is shown that by integrating the rough approach with the traditional fuzzy approach, the subjectivity that exists when defining the borders of fuzzy sets is eliminated. IVFRN make decision making possible using only the internal knowledge in the operative data available to the decision makers. In this way objective uncertainties are used and there is no need to rely on models of assumptions. Instead of different external parameters in the application of IVFRN, the structure of the given data is used. On this basis an original multi-criteria model was developed based on an IVFRN approach. In this multi-criteria model the traditional steps of the BWM (Best–Worst method) and MABAC (Multi-Attributive Border Approximation area Comparison) methods are modified. The model was tested and validated on a study of the optimal selection of fire fighting helicopters. Testing demonstrated that the model based on IVFRN enabled more objective expert evaluation of the criteria in comparison with traditional fuzzy and rough approaches. A sensitivity analysis of the IVFRN BWM-MABAC model was carried out by means of 57 scenarios, the results of which showed a high degree of stability. The results of the IVFRN model were validated by comparing them with the results of the fuzzy and rough extension of the MABAC, COPRAS and VIKOR models.

TL;DR: A holistic view into supply chain dynamics from the perspective of environmental management is offered to offer managerial implications and advantages of having environment as a key focus along with business motives.
Abstract: Highlights? We model supply chain maximizing both economical and environmental benefits ? We model a contract between the agents to maximize their economical benefits ? We use evolutionary game theory to achieve a win-win situation for all the agents ? We use green branding to draw extra economical benefit for the agents ? We use sustainability metric to show the environmental impact of the activities The overwhelming growth in the struggle between economy and ecology has led managerial research to promote methodologies to reap profits ensuring sustainability of the ecosystem thus venturing into the novel domain incorporating sustainability with supply chain management and coordination In this paper, we look for a synergetic alliance between the environmental and commercial benefits by establishing coordination between the producer and the retailer to adjudicate their strategies to trigger green practices with the focus on maximizing economic profits by leveraging upon the product's greenness A two player game has been developed to stand synonymous to the situation considered Special considerations have been devised to augment the analysis with the consumer psychology towards the green products to establish a practical outlook involving the greenness and economic returns Evolutionary dynamics has been adopted extensively to locate the optimal and the most stable point offering the best economic gains The economically suitable solutions are then substantiated on an existing sustainability metric and hence we aim to offer a holistic view into supply chain dynamics from the perspective of environmental management The insights drawn provide managerial implications and advantages of having environment as a key focus along with business motives
