TL;DR: In this article, a switching device is provided for adjusting the adjustment mechanisms of the power seats to reach a desired operational state in response to the detected operational state of that seat and other moving power seats.
Abstract: Apparatus for controlling a plurality of power seats in a vehicle includes a plurality of power seats, each having adjusting mechanisms for configuring the power seat in a number of different operational states. Operational state detectors then detect the operational state of each power seat. A switching device is provided for adjusting the adjustment mechanisms of the power seats to a desired operational state. Control apparatus is responsive to signals output from the operation state detection devices and the switching device for controlling the adjustment mechanisms of the power seats. The control apparatus causes each power seat to reach its desired operational state in response to the detected operational state of that seat and other power seats to prevent interference among the plurality of moving power seats.

TL;DR: In this article, a rotary seat for a vehicle has a seat cushion member rotably supported on a support shaft vertically mounted on the vehicle floor, which rotates between a direction toward the front of the vehicle and a direction towards a side door when the seat cushion is not occupied.
Abstract: A rotary seat for a vehicle has a seat cushion member rotably supported on a support shaft vertically mounted on the vehicle floor. Driving apparatus is connected to the seat cushion member for automatically rotating the seat cushion member between a direction toward the front of the vehicle and a direction toward a side door of the vehicle when the seat cushion member is not occupied. Disconnecting equipment is included for disconnecting the driving apparatus from the seat cushion member to allow the seat cushion member to be manually rotated when the seat cushion member is occupied. Control devices are provided for controlling the driving apparatus and the disconnecting equipment to place the seat cushion member in an automatic rotating mode or a manual rotating mode depending upon whether the seat is occupied.

TL;DR: In this article, a bar code reader includes a condenser lens disposed in an optical system between the photo-detector and the hologram for collecting the reflected scanning light beam into the photo detector.
Abstract: A bar code reader includes a hologram receiving a scanning light beam in sequence from a scanning light beam source for directing the scanning light beam to a bar code to be read along one path so that the bar code is scanned with the scanning laser beam in two-dimensional directions, and for guiding the scanning light beam to a photo-detector along the same path after the scanning light beam is reflected from the bar code, a condenser lens disposed in an optical system between the photo-detector and the hologram for collecting the reflected scanning light beam into the photo-detector, and a light blocking member disposed in an optical system between the condenser lens and the hologram for blocking unwanted light from the photo-detector, which unwanted light advances toward an incident side of the hologram on which the scanning light beam is directed.

TL;DR: In this paper, an airbag safety module for automotive vehicles is provided, which consists of a box-like cover and a housing with a plurality of openings formed in its side wall.
Abstract: An airbag safety module for automotive vehicles is provided. This module includes a box-like cover and a housing. The cover incorporates therein an airbag, an inflator, and an airbag control unit and has a plurality of openings formed in its side wall. The housing includes a base wall on which the airbag and the inflator are mounted and a side wall having thereon a plurality of protrusions engageble with the openings of the cover, respectively to complete the airbag safety module. Each of the protrusions is shaped to allow the housing to be inserted into the cover in an assembling direction of completing the airbag safety module to engage one of the openings of the cover while restricting the cover from being disengaged from the housing in a disassembling direction opposite to the assembling direction.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a method for providing unequal allocation of rights among agents while operating according to fair principles, comprising assigning a hierarchal rank to each agent, providing a synthetic economic value to a first set of agents at the a high level of the hierarchy, allocating portions of the synthetic economy value by the first sets of agents to a second subset of agents, at respectively different hierarchal ranks than the first set, and conducting an auction amongst agents using the synthetic economic values as the currency.
Abstract: A method for providing unequal allocation of rights among agents while operating according to fair principles, comprising assigning a hierarchal rank to each agent; providing a synthetic economic value to a first set of agents at the a high level of the hierarchy; allocating portions of the synthetic economic value by the first set of agents to a second set of agents at respectively different hierarchal rank than the first set of agents; and conducting an auction amongst agents using the synthetic economic value as the currency. A method for allocation among agents, comprising assigning a wealth generation function for generating future wealth to each of a plurality of agents, communicating subjective market information between agents, and transferring wealth generated by the secure wealth generation function between agents in consideration of a market transaction. The method may further comprise the step of transferring at least a portion of the wealth generation function between agents.
