Journal ArticleDOI
Pregnancy and birth outcomes following fresh or vitrified embryo transfer according to blastocyst morphology and expansion stage, and culturing strategy for delayed development
TL;DR: It is suggested that vitrification of non-top quality blastocysts as well as delayed cavitating and blastulating Day 5 embryos should be considered in autologous IVF cycles.
Journal ArticleDOI
The combination matters--distinct impact of lifestyle factors on sperm quality: a study on semen analysis of 1683 patients according to MSOME criteria.
Johannes Wogatzky,Barbara Wirleitner,Astrid Stecher,Pierre Vanderzwalmen,Anton Neyer,Dietmar Spitzer,Maximilian Schuff,Birgit Schechinger,Nicolas H. Zech +8 more
TL;DR: Combinations of adverse lifestyle factors could have a detrimental impact on sperm, not only in terms of motility and sperm count but also in Terms of sperm head vacuolization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intrauterine administration of human chorionic gonadotropin does not improve pregnancy and life birth rates independently of blastocyst quality: a randomised prospective study
Barbara Wirleitner,Maximilian Schuff,Pierre Vanderzwalmen,Astrid Stecher,Jasmin Okhowat,Libor Hradecký,Tomáš Kohoutek,Milena Králíčková,Dietmar Spitzer,Nicolas H. Zech +9 more
TL;DR: In contrast to previous studies indicating a substantial benefit from intrauterine hCG application in cleavage stage embryo transfers, this study could not find any evidence for improvement of clinical outcome in blastocyst transfer cycles, neither with top nor with non-top quality morphology.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dietary supplementation of antioxidants improves semen quality of IVF patients in terms of motility, sperm count, and nuclear vacuolization.
Barbara Wirleitner,Pierre Vanderzwalmen,Astrid Stecher,Dietmar Spitzer,Maximilian Schuff,Delf Schwerda,Magnus Bach,Birgit Schechinger,Nicolas H. Zech +8 more
TL;DR: The findings suggest that an antioxidative and micronutrient supplementation has a remarkable benefit for IVF patients having restricted sperm parameters, in particular.
Journal ArticleDOI
The time aspect in storing vitrified blastocysts: its impact on survival rate, implantation potential and babies born
Barbara Wirleitner,Pierre Vanderzwalmen,M. Bach,B. Baramsai,A. Neyer,Delf Schwerda,Maximilian Schuff,Dietmar Spitzer,Astrid Stecher,M. Zintz,Nicolas H. Zech +10 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that vitrified human blastocysts can be stored for long periods of time without significant negative consequences for the offspring.
