TL;DR: Promoting higher intakes of n-3 HUFAs in the diet of hypertensive and dyslipidemic persons may have substantial benefits in reducing their risk of cognitive decline in the area of verbal fluency, however, clinical trials are needed to confirm this finding.

The impact of socio-economic factors on functional status decline among community-dwelling older adults in China

TL;DR: It is found that education is strongly and inversely associated with incidence of combined functional status decline and IADL only but not with the onset of ADL disability, and there are wide socio-economic disparities in the functional health of older adults in China, although such disparities are more seen for I ADL decline and are almost exclusively attributed to differentials in educational attainment.
