TL;DR: In this article, the authors identify the crucial and determining factors that may affect the intention of customers to use mobile banking services and analyze their impact on the behavioral intention of banking customers.
Abstract: As the number of smart phone users and the popularity of Internet among people are growing day by day in Bangladesh, it became necessary for Bangladeshi local banks to provide mobile banking services to their customers. Therefore, this study seeks to identify the crucial and determining factors that may affect the intention of customers to use mobile banking services. The sample size in this study is 91, in which majority are the students of Business Studies. All respondents have mobile banking at the time of the survey. The samples in the study were mainly drawn from the private university students (i.e. Business Administration students) and faculty members, and some bank officers participated as sample respondents in this study. A non-probability random sampling method is applied, and a 5% significance level is used to accept the hypotheses. Cronbach alpha (α) of 0.7 and above is considered to measure the reliability of the item wise variables. This study examines six variables (perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, trust, security, perceived privacy, and technology competency) to analyze their impact on the behavioral intention of banking customers to use mobile banking services. Three variables, namely perceived usefulness, security, and technology competency, are found to be significant predictors of customers’ intent to use mobile banking in Bangladesh. For analytical purposes, SPSS version 23.0 is used to test hypotheses. The paper also provides significant implications for bank managers to increase the adoption of mobile banking for their sustainability.

TL;DR: In this article, the role of leadership orientation and proactive personality on social entrepreneurial intention was found to have a significant positive impact on the intention of social entrepreneurship, and the exploratory analysis found that prior voluntary experience also influenced students to become a social entrepreneur.
Abstract: This study aims at finding the role of leadership orientation and proactive personality on social entrepreneurial intention. A total of 428 Bangladeshi university students participated in this research study. Correlations analysis, hierarchical multiple regression analysis and analysis of variance were employed to find the relationship among variables and test the hypotheses. The study showed that task orientation, relationship orientation, and proactive personality have a significant positive impact on the intention of social entrepreneurship. The exploratory analysis found that prior voluntary experience also influenced students to become a social entrepreneur. The study is the first to introduce leadership orientation into social entrepreneurship literature.

TL;DR: Hossain et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated the extent to which individual and contextual factors determine the entrepreneurial intention in Bangladesh and found that individual factors have more influence on entrepreneurial intentions than contextual variables.
Abstract: This study has investigated the extent to which individual and contextual factors determine the entrepreneurial intention in Bangladesh. Also, this study examined the comparative impact of both individual and contextual factors on entrepreneurial intentions. Sample data (n = 270) have been collected through using a survey questionnaire from a renowned public university of Bangladesh. This study has applied both correlation analysis and hierarchical regression for testing the hypotheses. Total eight hypotheses are tested to examine the influence of seven independent variables on entrepreneurial intentions, in which six factors have been found as significant predictors of entrepreneurial intentions. The correlation analysis revealed that risk-taking, locus of control, self-efficacy, and job autonomy are significantly correlated with entrepreneurial intention at 5% significance level. The regression result indicated that individual factors such as risk-taking, locus of control, self-efficacy, and job autonomy and contextual factors such as social networks and university educational program have positive effect on entrepreneurial intention. The study also found out that individual factors have more influence on entrepreneurial intentions than contextual variables. This paper also offers some implications for academic scholars. TL;DR: Scales to measure social and emotional self-efficacy at work were developed and validated and found to be well differentiated from the cognitive task-oriented occupational self- efficacy scale and to provide promising tools for practical applications in work settings.
Abstract: Previous research have shown that self-efficacy is one of the most important personal resources in the work context. But because the first and foremost self-efficacy examined in organizations to date is cognitive and task oriented little is known about social and emotional self-efficacy at work. The aim of the present study was to investigate social and emotional dimensions of self-efficacy at work. Items to measure social and self- and other oriented emotional self-efficacy at work were developed and validated and confirmatory analyses on questionnaire data from 226 Swedish and 591 German employees revealed that they were well differentiated from cognitive task-oriented occupational self-efficacy items. Emotional self-efficacy explained additional variance in emotional irritation and emotional exhaustion, and social self-efficacy in team climate and commitment, over and above effects of occupational self-efficacy. Swedish participants reported higher than German participants on all self-efficacy dimensions. Men reported higher occupational self-efficacy, whereas women reported toward higher other-oriented emotional self-efficacy. The scales have strong psychometric properties in both Swedish and German language versions, which can give valuable tools for practical settings such as staff development, team-building or other training programs. Next step will be to study how social and emotional self-efficacy at work relates to health and well-being over time.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors identified the factors that impact the entrepreneurial intentions (EI) of students at tertiary level and used citation analysis to identify the 36 most impactful studies in this area of research.
Abstract: Abstract Entrepreneurship has been viewed as a critical contributor and an economic engine in a country for creating new jobs and it is crucial for graduates to alter their mindset to become self-employed. Thus, it is necessary to synthesize the factors that impact the entrepreneurial intentions (EI) of students at tertiary level. The aim of this research is twofold; first to identify the factors which have been most studied in the literature and second, to determine which factors are less explored to measure the EI of students. This research adopts the systematic review approach to identify various studies conducted between 2005 to June 2022. The paper further adopted citation analysis and identified the 36 most impactful studies in this area of research. Next, the thematic analysis was conducted and seven main themes (factors) (cognitive, personality, environmental, social, educational, contextual and demographic) of EI determinants were identified. The analysis of the papers clearly demonstrated that the TPB model and cognitive factors dominate this area of research. Furthermore, over half of the studies are conducted in Asia, hence it is important to explore other regions such as Africa, America and Europe and other comparative studies between various regions. The study offers avenues for future research and practical implications of the study for the practitioners.

TL;DR: In this competitive era, it has become a prerequisite for financial firms providing banking services to understand and meet the customers' needs and demands to remain competitive in today's market environment as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: In this competitive era, it has become a prerequisite for the financial firms providing banking services to understand and meet the customers’ needs and demands to remain competitive in today’s market environment. Without satisfying the customers, banking business cannot stand alone. To satisfy customers, it is often recommended to provide better quality banking services to the bank customers. Providing quality banking services has become a prime strategic tool for the banking sector nowadays. Therefore, the study investigates the effect of various dimensions of service quality of banking service on customer satisfaction in a developing country, Bangladesh. A total of 212 walking Bangladeshi banking customers participated in this research. A structured questionnaire was developed based on past research. SPSS is utilized for analysis and Likert scale was used in this study. Internal consistency of all items was found correct and a total of seven hypotheses were proposed. For testing, a 5% significance level is considered for acceptance of hypothesis. The findings show that, except employee competency, all other variables such as reliability, assurance, tangibles, responsiveness, empathy, and access to service have positive influence on customer satisfaction. The study provides policy implications for the management boards of the banking sectors.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the influence of perceived social impact, social worth and social network on social entrepreneurial intentions and found that social worth was the dominant trait while social network was the least influencing trait.
Abstract: Purpose This paper aims to address essential questions regarding social entrepreneurial intentions. Do traits such as perceived social impact, social worth and social network influence, social entrepreneurial intentions among the young populous generation of Pakistan? To get a deeper insight, this paper further raises questions regarding the relationship of these predictors and social entrepreneurial intentions with empathy which is considered as a key determinant and a distinguishing trait to become a social entrepreneur. Design/methodology/approach This paper involves a quantitative research design using a partial least square structural equation modeling approach to measure the effects of the structural model. For this, a cross-sectional survey was conducted with a purposive sample of 247 university students from Pakistan. Findings Results showed a positive relationship between antecedents and social entrepreneurial intentions. Overall analysis exhibited social worth as a dominant trait and social network as the least influencing trait to impact social entrepreneurial intentions. Practical implications It will help micro and macro-level policymakers including government officials and NGOs and educators to create awareness and provide support and encouragement to individuals who aim to initiate social enterprise. Originality/value The present study makes significant contributions to the social entrepreneurship literature, as it is one of the first academic studies on social entrepreneurial intentions in Pakistan. This paper enriches the theoretical foundation by assessing the influence of perceived social impact, social worth and social network on social entrepreneurial intentions. Also, the relationship of Empathy with each of these antecedents is examined for the first time in the social entrepreneurial intentions context which is a valuable contribution both theoretically and practically.
