Journal ArticleDOI

An atlas of active enhancers across human cell types and tissues

TL;DR: It is shown that enhancers share properties with CpG-poor messenger RNA promoters but produce bidirectional, exosome-sensitive, relatively short unspliced RNAs, the generation of which is strongly related to enhancer activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nuclear stability and transcriptional directionality separate functionally distinct RNA species

TL;DR: A strategy to systematically categorize human RNAs by their sensitivity to the ribonucleolytic RNA exosome complex and by the nature of their transcription initiation is devised, which is surprisingly effective at correctly classifying annotated transcripts, including lncRNAs of known function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genome-wide analysis of CDX2 binding in intestinal epithelial cells (Caco-2).

TL;DR: The ChIP-seq technique combines chromatin immunoprecipitation with next generation sequencing resulting in a high throughput experimental method of identifying direct targets of specific transcription factors, leading to the identification of the direct binding of CDX2 to several known and novel target genes in the intestinal cell.
