Hobson's choice and the need for combinations of new agents for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.

TL;DR: The excellent article by O’Regan, Jordan, and colleagues in this issue of the Journal (1) highlights the “Hobson’s Choice” currently available for clinical prevention or treatment of early breast cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Histone and DNA in isolated nuclei from chicken brain, liver, and erythrocytes.

Michael B. Sporn, +1 more
- 19 Apr 1963 -
TL;DR: In isolated brain and liver nuclei the ratio of histone to deoxyribonucleic acid is lower than in nuclei from erthrocytes, and deoxy ribonucleoproteins from brain and Liver are more soluble in isotonic sodium chloride.
Journal Article

Inhibition of RNA-dependent DNA polymerase by thymidylate derivatives.

TL;DR: The effects of several thymidylate derivatives with reactive substituents on the RNA-dependent DNA polymerase of Rauscher murine leukemia virus were investigated and inhibition of the reactions directed by DNA templates was comparable to that found with poly(rA)·oligo(dT).
