Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation of electrodeposited cobalt sulphide counter electrodes and their application in next-generation dye sensitized solar cells featuring organic dyes and cobalt-based redox electrolytes
Sanjay Kumar Swami,Neha Chaturvedi,Anuj Kumar,Raman Kapoor,Viresh Dutta,Julien Frey,Thomas Moehl,Michael Grätzel,Simon Mathew,Mohammad Khaja Nazeeruddin +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of the CoS-III film by impedance spectroscopy reveals a lower charge transfer resistance (R-CT) than that measured for Pt CE (0.75 Omega cm(-2) and 0.85 Omega cm(2) respectively).
Journal ArticleDOI
Low-Temperature Atomic Layer Deposition of Crystalline and Photoactive Ultrathin Hematite Films for Solar Water Splitting
Ludmilla Steier,Jingshan Luo,Marcel Schreier,Matthew T. Mayer,Timo Sajavaara,Michael Grätzel +5 more
TL;DR: It is found that, at high bias potentials, photocurrent density and quantum efficiency proportionally increase with light absorption in films thinner than 10 nm and are limited by the space charge layer width in thicker films.
Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient orange light-emitting electrochemical cells
Daniel Tordera,Antonio Pertegás,Nail M. Shavaleev,Rosario Scopelliti,Enrique Ortí,Henk J. Bolink,Etienne Baranoff,Michael Grätzel,Mohammad Khaja Nazeeruddin +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the bis-cyclometalated cationic iridium(III) complex with N-aryl-substituted 1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
A quinoxaline-fused tetrathiafulvalene-based sensitizer for efficient dye-sensitized solar cells.
Anneliese Amacher,Chenyi Yi,Jiabao Yang,Jiabao Yang,Martin Peter Bircher,Yongchun Fu,Michele Cascella,Michael Grätzel,Silvio Decurtins,Shi-Xia Liu +9 more
TL;DR: A new quinoxaline-fused tetrathiafulvalene-based sensitizer has been prepared and characterized, and the resulting power conversion efficiency of 6.47% represents the best performance to date for tetrATHiafulValene-sensitized solar cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Theoretical Screening of -NH2-, -OH-, -CH3-, -F-, and -SH-Substituted Porphyrins As Sensitizer Candidates for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells
Ruimin Ma,Ping Guo,Linlin Yang,Lianshun Guo,Xianxi Zhang,Mohammad Khaja Nazeeruddin,Michael Grätzel +6 more
TL;DR: The result shows that -NH(2)-, -OH- and -CH(3)-substituted porphyrins as donors combined with the acceptor G are very promising to provide good performances as sensitizers because of their smaller HOMO-LUMO gaps, much red-shifted absorption bands, and good frontier molecular orbital spatial distributions.
