Nafion modified TiO2 electrodes: photoresponse and sensitization by Ru(II)-bipyridyl complexes

TL;DR: In this paper, a cation-exchanging NAFION polymeric film was used to protect the adsorbed layer of RuL 3 on TiO 2 against desorption.
Journal ArticleDOI

The excitation wavelength and solvent dependance of the kinetics of electron injection in ru(dcbpy)2(ncs)2 sensitized nanocrystalline tio2 films

TL;DR: The Web of Science Record (WOR) was created on 2006-02-21, modified on 2017-05-12 as discussed by the authors, and was used for the Web version of this article.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells by Scanning Electron Micrograph Observation and Thickness Optimization of Porous TiO2 Electrodes

TL;DR: In this paper, the surface and cross-sectional views of the electrodes using scanning electron micrography were examined, and the influence of particle size and the thickness of the nanocrystalline- electrode in DSCs using four kinds of sensitizing dyes (D149, K19, N719 and Z907) and two kinds of electrolytes (acetonitrile-based and ionic-liquid electrolytes) were discussed in regards to conversion efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical and photochemical investigations of two novel electron relays for hydrogen generation from water

TL;DR: Bis(carboxycyclopentadienyl) cobalt Co(C5H4CO2H)2+(1) and the cobalt(III) sepulchrate Co(sep)3-9(2) produce hydrogen from water after single elecron reduction in an electrochemical process, and act as electron relays in photochemical hydrogen generating systems as discussed by the authors.
