Chapter 2 Computational aspects of motor control and motor learning
TL;DR: This chapter reviews various computational issues that arise in the study of motor control and motor learning, and develops some of the basic ideas in the control of dynamical systems, distinguishing between feedback control and feedforward control.
Proceedings Article
Nonparametric Link Prediction in Dynamic Networks
TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a nonparametric link prediction algorithm for a sequence of graph snapshots over time, which predicts links based on the features of its endpoints, as well as those of the local neighborhood around the endpoints.
Proceedings Article
Stick-Breaking Beta Processes and the Poisson Process
TL;DR: It is shown that the stick-breaking construction of the beta process due to Paisley et al. (2010) can be obtained from the characterization of the Beta process as a Poisson process, and this underlying representation is used to derive error bounds on truncated beta processes that are tighter than those in the literature.
Proceedings Article
Parallel correlation clustering on big graphs
Xinghao Pan,Dimitris S. Papailiopoulos,Samet Oymak,Benjamin Recht,Kannan Ramchandran,Michael I. Jordan +5 more
TL;DR: C4 and ClusterWild! as discussed by the authors use concurrency control to enforce serializability of a parallel clustering process, and guarantee a 3-approximation ratio for large graphs.
