Journal ArticleDOI
Antibody–Fc/FcR Interaction on Macrophages as a Mechanism for Hyperprogressive Disease in Non–small Cell Lung Cancer Subsequent to PD-1/PD-L1 Blockade
Giuseppe Lo Russo,Massimo Moro,Michele Sommariva,Valeria Cancila,Mattia Boeri,Giovanni Centonze,Simona Ferro,Monica Ganzinelli,Patrizia Gasparini,Veronica Huber,Massimo Milione,Luca Porcu,Claudia Proto,Giancarlo Pruneri,Diego Signorelli,Sabina Sangaletti,Lucia Sfondrini,Chiara Storti,Elena Tassi,Alberto Bardelli,Silvia Marsoni,Valter Torri,Claudio Tripodo,Mario P. Colombo,Andrea Anichini,Licia Rivoltini,Andrea Balsari,Gabriella Sozzi,Marina Chiara Garassino +28 more
TL;DR: These results suggest a crucial role of TAM reprogramming, upon Fc receptor engagement by ICI, eventually inducing HP and provide clues on a distinctive immunophenotype potentially able to predict HP.
Journal ArticleDOI
Generation of clinical-grade CD19-specific CAR-modified CD8+ memory stem cells for the treatment of human B-cell malignancies.
Marianna Sabatino,Jinhui Hu,Michele Sommariva,Michele Sommariva,Sanjivan Gautam,Vicki Fellowes,James D. Hocker,Sean C. Dougherty,Haiying Qin,Christopher A. Klebanoff,Terry J. Fry,Ronald E. Gress,James N. Kochenderfer,David F. Stroncek,Yun Ji,Luca Gattinoni +15 more
TL;DR: This clinical-grade platform provides the basis for a phase 1 trial evaluating the activity of CD19-CAR-modified CD8(+) TSCM in patients with B-cell malignancies refractory to prior allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid Increases the Self-Defense of Skin Epithelium by Induction of β-Defensin 2 via TLR2 and TLR4
Silvia Gariboldi,Marco Palazzo,Laura Zanobbio,Silvia Selleri,Michele Sommariva,Lucia Sfondrini,Stefano Cavicchini,Andrea Balsari,Cristiano Rumio +8 more
TL;DR: The observation might be important to open new perspectives in the development of possible topical products containing LMW-HA to improve the release of β-defensins by keratinocytes, thus ameliorating the self-defense of the skin for the protection of cutaneous tissue from infection by microorganisms.
Journal ArticleDOI
CXCR3/CCR5 pathways in metastatic melanoma patients treated with adoptive therapy and interleukin-2
Davide Bedognetti,Tara L Spivey,Tara L Spivey,Yingdong Zhao,Lorenzo Uccellini,Lorenzo Uccellini,Sara Tomei,M. E. Dudley,Maria Libera Ascierto,Maria Libera Ascierto,V. De Giorgi,Qiuzhen Liu,Lucia Gemma Delogu,Michele Sommariva,Michele Sommariva,Mario Roberto Sertoli,Richard Simon,Ena Wang,S. A. Rosenberg,Francesco M. Marincola,Francesco M. Marincola +20 more
TL;DR: It is postulated that polymorphisms and/or expression of CXCR3/CCR5 in TILs and the expression of their ligands in tumour influence the migration of Tils to tumours and tumour regression and the predicted underexpression of both CX CR3 and CCR5 according to gene expression and polymorphism data was associated with response to therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modulation of Pulmonary Microbiota by Antibiotic or Probiotic Aerosol Therapy: A Strategy to Promote Immunosurveillance against Lung Metastases
Valentino Le Noci,Simone Guglielmetti,Stefania Arioli,Chiara Camisaschi,Francesca Bianchi,Michele Sommariva,Chiara Storti,Tiziana Triulzi,Chiara Castelli,Andrea Balsari,Elda Tagliabue,Lucia Sfondrini +11 more
TL;DR: It is shown that its targeting via aerosolization is a therapy that can prevent metastases and enhance responses to chemotherapy and probiotics or antibiotics improved chemotherapy activity against advanced B16 metastases.
