TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined whether the micro and small retailers in Hermosillo, Sonora, used information and communication technologies (icts) and know where, if applied as a competitive advantage.
Abstract: The advance of new technologies of information and communication technologies (icts) are not distributed evenly between companies in different sectors of the economy. These include not only the use of Internet and computer, but other tools related to the administrative operations of firms as well as knowledge of the profile of the consumer. This is especially true in enterprises of trade and services sector, where there is a significant gap between the micro, small, medium and large farms. Therefore, the study aims to examine whether the micro and small retailers in Hermosillo, Sonora, ict and know where, if applied as a competitive advantage. To achieve the goal we worked a representative sample of 450 establishments. The result obtained in February 2009, shows that despite advances in the use of these technological tools, knowledge and degree of applicability is still insufficient for micro and small businesses. Therefore, do not have the competitive edge that represents the use of ict to remain successful in the local market.

Integracion economica, 2. tlcan , 3. frontera norte, 4. crecimiento endogeno, 5. Sonora.

TL;DR: In this paper, the concept of sustainable development with three-dimensional formula was used to compare the sustainability of the electricity industry in Mexico and its northern border, and the results showed that sustainability in Mexico's northern border is higher than it is in Mexico.
Abstract: The concept of sustainable development with three-dimensional formula was used to compare the sustainability of the electricity industry in Mexico and its northern border. Energy indicators for economic, social, and environmental dimensions were applied to the electricity industry between 1993 and 2006. According to the resulting indicators there was no balance between the dimensions. The environmental dimension yielded the least sustainable one, whereas the social dimension yielded the most sustainable indicator both in Mexico and in its northern border. The economic dimension presented greater differences in the indicators between Mexico and its northern border. The global indicator showed that sustainability in Mexico's northern border is higher than it is in Mexico. Energy policies must be applied to increase the sustainability of most indicators, to achieve a balance between the dimensions and to obtain progress toward sustainable development electrical power.
