Planning and control as functions of management of enterprises

Abstract: In modern conditions of expansion of the phenomenon of globalization, due to dynamic market changes and market conditions, company management meets a variety of different requirements within its business, where the focus is on meeting the set goals. This implies that it is necessary to ensure smooth functioning of planning and control, as the main elements of enterprise management, which provide the possibility of preventive action on potential limits in the realization of objectives, but also to solve existing problems.

Economic potential of agro-food production in the republic of serbia

Abstract: This research conducted a structural and analysis of the foreign trade position of the Republic of Serbia, with special emphasis on agricultural and food products, in order to provide detailed information regarding current trends, measuring the level of comparative advantage and international position in the world and European markets. The obtained results indicate the elements that have a limiting effect on the development of this type of production. Using the RCA Index methodology and the Lafay’s Index, the link between the food industry and the character of industrial exchange was established, which is measured by the Grubel Lloyd’s Index. The structure of exports was analyzed from the aspect of factor intensity, so the existence of negative values of a comparative advantage and intensive goods was confirmed. Finally, we believe that the results obtained have contributed to the unraveling of available instruments, the eventual efficient use of which would help rural development, and thus the overall economic development of the Republic of Serbia.

The possibility of using data mining in the research of agricultural holdings

Abstract: Purpose. The aim of this study was to examine the usefulness and accuracy of Data Mining techniques on the example of testing the presence of impact evaluation of the quality of the land on the level of income of agricultural holdings on the basis of test samples. Methodology. The study was analysis conducted on a random sample for identifying key factors in the research of impact evaluation of the quality of the land on the level of income of agricultural holdings, on a data set of 179 examples, where the input consists of various variables: factor of erosivity, the power of the land, reducing the pH value, presence of organic matter, then target discrete variables with two descriptive values: at a expected yield and real yield. Results and Conclusions. The results obtained from the experiments agree confirmed a physical and chemical factors properties largely determines the classification results.

Preferences of behavior types of leaders in the public sector – case study ministry of defense of the republic of serbia

Abstract: The subject of this paper is to determine the preferred style of leadership behavior in public sector employees. A sample of employees of the Ministry of Defense (hereinafter MoD) was used to conduct the research. The Ministry of Defense, as an extremely organizationally and hierarchically defined entity, is interesting for researching the preferences of leadership style and the leader-follower relationship itself. Numerous leadership studies conducted in this type of organization have not been found in practice, and there is a reported scientific „gap” on this topic. The research aims to determine which the preferred leadership style in the MoD is and whether gender, age, and years of service influence the preferred leadership style and the leader-follower relationship. The empirical research was conducted in 2021 in the Military Social Security Fund of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia on the cause of 51 respondents, using the survey method. The results of the research showed that the preferred leadership style among MoD employees is participatory leadership and that years of service and age have an impact on the choice of the preferred leadership style, as well as on the leader-follower relationship.

Abstract: Financial management plays an important role in the development of enterprises as well as in the development of a country's economic activity. Financial management has a special place in the management system, because of the close connection between finance and management, technology, resources, personnel, etc. The modern financial manager needs to be flexible in order to be able to adapt to changing economic conditions. Its success and ability to find financing sources and manage financial resources depend on the success of the enterprise and the entire economy. For this reason, the primary task of financial management is to maximize the value of stocks by making decisions that increase the value of the company.

The role of company management in the choice of organizational structure

Abstract: The dynamic and turbulent market environment poses great demands and challenges to the company's management. Adequate management response to these challenges should ensure more efficient, effective and economical business operations, significantly higher quality financial statements, as well as a modern organization of the company. The subject of this paper is the modern internal organization of the company. Based on that, it will be considered what is the impact of the internal organization on the overall business of the company, and what mechanisms and methods management can and should apply in this area, all based on relevant legal and professional regulations.

Legal aspects of merchandising in sports

Abstract: In the last thirty years, sport has undergone a significant transformation from a means of satisfying the need for physical activity, affirmation or competition with others to an extremely profitable industry. The development of sports has been favored by the development of mass media in terms of the creation of planetary sports idols. Consumers today are exposed to aggressive marketing policies, and manufacturers are trying to overcome information overload by exploiting recognizable symbols that consumers want to identify with through the emotional positioning of products. The authors point out the importance of merchandising as well as all the specificities that it manifests in its application in sports, with particular reference to the legal framework, and instruments for the further transfer of rights and protection of them.
