Antitumour activity of transition metal complexes with the thiosemicarbazone derived from 3-acetylumbelliferone

TL;DR: Metal complexes of a new thiosemicarbazone derived from 3-acetylumbelliferone have been prepared and characterized and have been studied for their possible antitumour activity against HL-60 human leukemia in vitro.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, characterization, and antibacterial activity of novel Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) complexes with vitamin K3-thiosemicarbazone.

TL;DR: In vitro tests of antibacterial activity showed that Vitamin K3-thiosemicarbazone and its complexes with Mn( II), Co(II), Ni(II, Cu(II%), and Zn(II) all had strong inhibitory actions against G(+) Staphylococcus aureus, G(+ Hay bacillus, and G(-) Escherichia coli.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bis(pyridinecarboxylato‐O,N)(pyridinecarboxylic acid‐O,N)manganese(III) hydroxide

TL;DR: The title complex of [Mn(C5H4NCO2)2(C4NCOOH)]OH as mentioned in this paper consists of a cation and a hydro-xide ion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diethyl trans‐2,3‐dibenzoyl‐2‐butenedioate

TL;DR: The title compound, C22H20O6, has a central double bond of length 1.3694'12'A' as discussed by the authors and two benzene rings, lying on different sides of the diethyl 2-butenedioate main chain, are almost parallel to each other and nearly perpendicular to the main chain.
