Spatial distribution and ecological risk assessment of heavy metal pollution in surface sediments from shallow lakes in East China
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper collected surface sediment samples from 63 shallow freshwater lakes in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze and Huai River Basins (MLYHB) to study the spatial distribution of common heavy metals, including As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb and Zn.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-hepatitis B virus activities and absolute configurations of sesquiterpenoid glycosides from Phyllanthus emblica.
Jun-Jiang Lv,Ya-Feng Wang,Jing-Min Zhang,Shan Yu,Dong Wang,Hong-Tao Zhu,Rong-Rong Cheng,Chong-Ren Yang,Min Xu,Ying-Jun Zhang +9 more
TL;DR: The sesquiterpenoid glycoside dimers 6–9 displayed potential anti-hepatitis B virus (HBV) activities, especially for the new compound 6 with IC50 of 8.53 ± 0.97 and 5.68 ± 1.75 μM towards the HBV surface antigen (HBsAg) and HBV excreted antigen (HBeAg) secretion, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced antibacterial activity of magnetic biochar conjugated quaternary phosphonium salt
Yuhao Fu,Fang Wang,Hongjie Sheng,Min Xu,Ying Liang,Yongrong Bian,Syed A. Hashsham,Xin Jiang,James M. Tiedje +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a facile, green and low-priced bacteriocide was developed using precipitation of iron oxide on biochar followed by ion exchange with quaternary phosphonium salt (QPS).
Journal ArticleDOI
Phenolic Antioxidants from the Whole Plant of Phyllanthus urinaria
TL;DR: The 1,1‐diphenyl‐2‐picrydydrazyl (DPPH) assay on the extract of Phyllanthus urinaria L. (Euphorbiaceae) displayed considerable radical‐scavenging activity, which led to the isolation of a series of 15 phenolic compounds, including the ellagitannins 1–7, the flavonoids 8–10, and the simple hydroxylated aromatic acids 11–15.
Journal ArticleDOI
Changes in sea ice and future accessibility along the Arctic Northeast Passage
Jinlei Chen,Shichang Kang,Changsheng Chen,Qinglong You,Wentao Du,Min Xu,Xinyue Zhong,Wei Zhang,Jizu Chen +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an unstructured-grid model was used for accurate fitting to the irregular coastal boundary, and accessibility was assessed under two different shared socioeconomic pathways (SSPs) and two vessel classes with the Arctic transportation accessibility model from 2021−2050.
