Current status, challenges, and future directions of university laboratory safety in China

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors analyzed the current status and challenges of university laboratory safety in China and presented future directions to reduce accidents using engineering and administrative controls, and performed a descriptive statistical analysis of 110 publicly reported university laboratory accidents in mainland China since 2000.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal runaway incidents-a serious cause of concern: An analysis of runaway incidents in China

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper performed the statistical analysis of 271 thermal runaway incidents that occurred in China from 1984 to 2019, and found that operator error was the biggest cause of thermal runaway, accounting for 35.4%.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetics of polyethylene pyrolysis in the atmosphere of ethylene

TL;DR: In this article, the pyrolysis of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and high density polyethylenes (HDPE), under different heating rates in N2 and different ethylene concentration was studied by the TG-DSC method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of initial temperature and pressure on explosion characteristics of propane–diluent–air mixtures

TL;DR: In this paper, the explosion characteristics of propane-diluent-air mixtures under various temperatures and pressures were investigated using a 20-L apparatus, and the results showed that the upper explosion limit increased and the lower explosion limit decreased with the rising temperature.
