Critical heat flux and droplet entrainment rate in boiling of falling liquid films

TL;DR: In this article, critical heat flux and rate of droplet entrainment due to bubble bursting are made with boiling liquid films flowing downwards on the outside surface of a uniformly heated vertical tube.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop for Flow Condensation Inside a Vertical Tube

TL;DR: In this paper, experimental data of the condensate film thickness and the local heat transfer coefficient are presented for steam condensing in down flow inside a vertical tube, and the results indicate that the laminar sublayer thickness is considerably different from that of single phase full tube flow.
Journal ArticleDOI

Heat Transfer during Annular Flow Condensation of Steam inside Tubes

TL;DR: In this paper, an ideal annular flow model is proposed for predicting the heat transfer coefficient for both horizontal flow and vertical downflow condensation of steam inside a horizontal tube, and a method for predicting heat transfer coefficients is proposed.
