Abstract: The research placed at V grade at comparison material. Population of this research is whole of elementary school in Paseh Subdistrict, Sumedang, then the sample of population is Cijambe 2 elementary school as exsperiment class and Sidaraja elementary school as control class. The goals of this research is to knowing the effect from contextual approach with coper media support to mathematical understanding ability and study motivation, and for knowing rhe correlation between mathematical understanding ability with study motivation. This research use experiment method that compared the experiment class with control class, which have different treatment. Based on the data, it describe that contextual approach with coper media support could give more effect to mathematical understanding ability, meanwhile at study motivation contextual approach with coper media support can’t give more effect. Then, we can know that mathematical understanding ability and study motivation have strong correlation.

Abstract: Selection of appropriate learning approaches and strategies, will facilitate the achievement of these learning activities. Similarly, in mathematics learning activities in PGSD (department of elementary school preservice teacher), which is demanding the development of a high level of mathematical ability as well as critical thinking skills. However, not many people are trying to look for other factors in addition to the approach/learning strategy, which is possible to contribute to the development of critical thinking skills, such as interest factor majors students (IPA [science] and non-IPA [non-science]) as well as mathematical prior knowledge which has been owned previously. In addition, affective aspects that accompany any critical thinking skills (critical disposition) is a study that is still rare. This paper briefly present to peel the election factor of approaches and learning strategies, ie, problem based learning with "MURDER" strategy, shared interests and their interaction majors and mathematical prior knowledge of the result of performance of critical thinking skills and dispositions of PGSD students. Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar mata pelajaran matematika siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar No. 1 Tukadsumaga Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 dengan penerapan pendekatan kontekstual. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD No. 1 Tukadsumaga yang berjumlah 24 orang. Data hasil belajar siswa dikumpulkan dengan metode tes. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis data statistik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan kontekstual dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD No. 1 Tukadsumaga. Pada siklus I diperoleh persentase hasil belajar sebesar 72,91% berada pada kategori sedang. Selanjutnya pada siklus II, persentase hasil belajar matematika sebesar 81,25% berada pada kategori tinggi. Kata Kunci : pendekatan kontekstual, hasil belajar matematika The purpose of this study was to determine the increase the learning outcomes of mathematics for fifth grade students of SD No. 1 Tukadsumaga in the academic year 2013/2014 applying contextual teaching learning. The design of this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisted of two cycles. The subjects of this research were the fifth grade students of SD No. 1 Tukadsumaga amounted to 24 students. The data of learning outcomes were collected by using test. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis method. The result of this research showed that the contextual teaching learning can enchane the learning outcomes of mathematics at the fifth grade students of SD No. 1 Tukadsumaga. In the first cycle the percentage of student’s learning outcomes is 72.91% and it was classified at moderate.
