TL;DR: Several risk factors for thrombotic complications, including chronic systemic venous hypertension, protein-losing enteropathy, passive blood flow, atrial arrhythmias, conduit stenosis, prosthetic material use, coagulation factor abnormalities, and several patient characteristics were identified and a prophylactic anticoagulation algorithm was proposed.
