Proceedings Article

Adaptive service function for system reward maximization under elastic traffic model.

TL;DR: An adaptive service model is proposed that maximizes the amount of service that spectrum users (SUs) achieve from accessing DSA systems and allows users to achieve high service rewards by quickly locating spectrum opportunities in the system.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

New queuing strategy for large scale ATM switches

TL;DR: A combined central and output queuing (CCOQ) technique to be used in designing large-scale ATM switches with a suitable CCOQ buffer size to reduce both the cell loss probability and the complexity of the memory modules is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

AISCM-FH: AI-Enabled Secure Communication Mechanism in Fog Computing-Based Healthcare

TL;DR: In this paper , an AI-enabled secure communication mechanism in fog computing-based healthcare system (in short, AISCM-FH) has been proposed, which provides superior security and extra functionality attributes as compared to those for other competing existing approaches.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Performance Analysis Model of TCP over Multiple Heterogeneous Paths for 5G Mobile Services

TL;DR: In this article, a performance analysis model for TCP over multiple heterogeneous paths in 5G scenarios, where both bandwidth and delay asymmetry are taken into consideration, is presented, and the evaluation using large-scale simulation and field experiment shows that the proposed model can achieve high accuracy in practical environments.
Journal ArticleDOI

On hierarchical pipeline paging in multi-tier overlaid hierarchical cellular networks

TL;DR: It is shown that HPP scheme outperforms both HBP and HSP schemes in terms of discovery rate while maintaining the same cost as HSP scheme, and has a lower total delay than HBP scheme when traffic load is high.
