Journal ArticleDOI

Murine dendritic cells loaded in vitro with soluble protein prime cytotoxic T lymphocytes against tumor antigen in vivo.

TL;DR: Results indicate that effector cells can be recruited and activated in vivo by antigen-pulsed DC, providing an efficient immune reaction against tumors, and that a long- lasting immunity against tumor challenge can be induced using beta-gal- pulsed bm-DC as vaccine.
Journal ArticleDOI

IDH1 mutations at residue p.R132 (IDH1(R132)) occur frequently in high-grade gliomas but not in other solid tumors.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors search for mutations at position R132 of the IDH1 gene in a panel of 672 tumor samples, including high-grade glioma, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), melanoma, bladder, breast, colorectal, lung, ovarian, pancreas, prostate, and thyroid carcinoma specimens.
Journal ArticleDOI

New common variants affecting susceptibility to basal cell carcinoma

TL;DR: It is reported conclusive evidence that rs401681[C] in the TERT-CLPTM1L locus confers susceptibility to BCC but protects against melanoma.
Journal ArticleDOI

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor gene transfer suppresses tumorigenicity of a murine adenocarcinoma in vivo.

TL;DR: Results indicate that G-CSF may have a potent antitumoral activity when released, even at low doses, at the tumor site and mediated by recruitment and targeting of neutrophilic granulocytes to G- CSF-releasing cells.
