Antioxidant activity of methanolic extract of emblica fruit (Phyllanthus emblica L.) from six regions in China

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the phenolic contents of methanolic extracts of emblica from six regions in China, and evaluated the antioxidant activities of these extracts were also evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of polysaccharides from pericarp tissues of litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.) fruit in relation to their antioxidant activities

TL;DR: Different polysaccharide fractions extracted and purified from litchi fruit pericarp tissues exhibited strong antioxidant activities, and among these fractions, the purified poly Saccharide had the highest antioxidant activity and should be explored as a novel potential antioxidant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of polyphenols in tobacco leaf and their antioxidant and antimicrobial activities

TL;DR: In this paper, the dominant polyphenols in tobacco leaf were identified as chlorogenic acid and rutin, and the antioxidant activities of PTL were investigated, including scavenging activities of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radicals, hydroxyl radicals (49.6μg/ml IC50 value), and superoxide anion radicals (44.0mm) and reducing power.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural characterisation of polysaccharides purified from longan (Dimocarpus longan Lour.) fruit pericarp

TL;DR: In this article, crude polysaccharides of longan fruit pericarp (PLFP) were extracted from hot water by removing proteins and purification by Sephadex G-100 gel filtration column.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optimization of antioxidant peptide production from grass carp sarcoplasmic protein using response surface methodology

TL;DR: In this paper, the sarcoplasmic protein was extracted from the muscle of grass carp, a Chinese freshwater carp, and was hydrolyzed with five proteases to produce antioxidant peptides.
