Thermodynamic assessment of the Al-Ni system
TL;DR: In this paper, the sub-lattice model is used to describe the thermodynamic behavior of the ordered phases existing in the AlNi system and the model parameters are derived from an optimisation procedure using all available experimental data.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermodynamic re-assessment of the ternary system Al-Cr-Ni
TL;DR: In this paper, a re-assessment of the ternary system Al-Cr-Ni using a single Gibbs energy function for the γ and γ' phases is presented taking into account new experimental liquidus temperatures.
Journal ArticleDOI
An assessment of the entire Al-Fe system including D03 ordering
TL;DR: In this paper, a four-sublattice model based on the compound energy formalism was used to describe disordered A2 and the B2, D 0 3 and B32 ordering.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermodynamic modelling of advanced oxide and carbide nuclear fuels: Description of the U–Pu–O–C systems
Christine Guéneau,N. Dupin,Bo Sundman,Chantal Martial,J.C. Dumas,Stéphane Gossé,Sylvie Chatain,Franck De Bruycker,Dario Manara,Rudy J. M. Konings +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a thermodynamic model for the (U, Pu)O 2 oxide, the carbide fuels using the Calphad method to describe consistently both phase diagrams and thermodynamic data of the phases involved in the U-Pu-O-C system was derived.
Journal ArticleDOI
A thermodynamic database for zirconium alloys
TL;DR: A thermodynamic database, Zircobase, was developed for zirconium alloys for use in the nuclear industry as discussed by the authors, and the utility of this database is demonstrated in examples of thermodynamic calculations of the α/β phase transformation temperatures performed on industrial Zr-Nb and Zy4 type alloys.
