TL;DR: Intervention research studies remain only a modest proportion of all published studies in physical activity and falls prevention; the majority of the intervention studies, are efficacy studies although there is growing evidence of a move towards replication and dissemination studies, which may have greater potential for improving population health.

Active, healthy cities ? how does population physical activity vary between Australian cities?

TL;DR: Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Canberra residents were significantly more active than Sydney, Adelaide and Hobart residents in terms of HEPA and walking increased across most cities between 2001 and 2009.
