Abstract: Analise sobre o estado da arte das discussoes feitas pela Arquivologia sobre a Gestao Eletronica de Documentos – GED, por meio de levantamento quantitativo e bibliografico de artigos cientificos em oito periodicos, sendo quatro na area de Arquivologia (Acervo, Agora, Archeion Online e Informacao Arquivistica) e quatro em Ciencia da Informacao (Encontros Bibli, Informacao & Sociedade, Perspectivas em Ciencia da Informacao e TransInformacao). Da coleta de dados, compreende-se publicacoes no periodo de 1985 a 2016, onde foram selecionados sessenta e dois trabalhos, considerando cinco terminologias: Tecnologia e Sociedade, Avancos Tecnologicos, Preservacao de Documentos, Certificacao Digital e Gestao Eletronica de Documentos. Percebeu-se o periodo a partir de 2012 como o mais produtivo sobre o tema, com a terminologia preservacao como a mais discutida e abordada tanto na Arquivologia como na Ciencia da informacao. Conclui-se que a GED tem sido discutida e constituida ao longo dos ultimos anos pela Arquivisitica, derivada dos avancos tecnologicos e seus desafios, sendo acessivel e estruturada para uma conveniente gestao da informacao pelo arquivista
