Benjamin D. Greenberg,Lutgardis Gabriëls,Donald A. Malone,Ali R. Rezai,G M Friehs,Michael S. Okun,Nathan A. Shapira,Kelly D. Foote,Paul Cosyns,Cynthia S. Kubu,Paul Malloy,Stephen Salloway,J E Giftakis,M T Rise,Andre G. Machado,Kenneth B. Baker,Paul H. Stypulkowski,Wayne K. Goodman,Steven A. Rasmussen,Bart Nuttin +19 more
TL;DR: Combined long-term results of DBS studies show that the procedure can be successfully implemented by dedicated interdisciplinary teams, and support its therapeutic promise, and suggest that neural networks relevant to therapeutic improvement might be modulated more effectively at a more posterior target.
Journal ArticleDOI
Problematic internet use: proposed classification and diagnostic criteria.
Nathan A. Shapira,C B S Mary Lessig,Toby D. Goldsmith,Steven T. Szabo,Martin Lazoritz,Mark S. Gold,Dan J. Stein,Dan J. Stein +7 more
TL;DR: It is imperative that problematic internet use be appropriately identified among symptomatic individuals and specific diagnostic criteria are proposed that will allow for consistent identification and assist in further study of this behavior.
Journal ArticleDOI
Topiramate in the treatment of binge eating disorder associated with obesity: a randomized, placebo-controlled trial.
Susan L. McElroy,Lesley M. Arnold,Nathan A. Shapira,Paul E. Keck,Norman R. Rosenthal,M. Rezaul Karim,Marc Kamin,James I. Hudson +7 more
TL;DR: Topiramate was efficacious and relatively well tolerated in the short-term treatment of binge eating disorder associated with obesity.
