Journal ArticleDOI
Inorganic Phototropism in Electrodeposition of Se-Te.
TL;DR: Full-wave electromagnetic simulations of light absorption indicated that the induced spatial growth anisotropy was a function of asymmetric absorption in the evolving deposit, analogous to biological systems such as palm trees that exhibit phototropic growth.
Patent
Semiconductive micro- and nano-wire array manufacturing
TL;DR: In this article, the authors provide methods of manufacturing semiconductive structures using stamping and VLS techniques, and demonstrate the use of stamping for semiconductor structures. But they do not discuss the use case of semiconductors.
Patent
A tandem solar cell using a silicon microwire array and amorphous silicon photovoltaic layer
Shane Ardo,Nathan S. Lewis +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, an invention relates to photovoltaic cells, devices, methods of making and using the same, as well as methods of using them in the same application.
Journal ArticleDOI
New approaches to solar energy conversion using Si/liquid junctions
Arnel M. Fajardo,Christoph D. Karp,C. N. Kenyon,Katherine E. Pomykal,Gary A. Shreve,Ming X. Tan,Nathan S. Lewis +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a Si/liquid junction photoelectrochemical energy conversion device was presented, where the stabilization ratio as a function of the reorganization energy of the stabilizing redox agent was measured.
