Abstract: In the present study attempt was made for preparation of isotretinoin-hydroxypropyl β cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) inclusion complex and encapsulate this complex in elastic liposomes to study the effect of dual carrier approach on skin targeting of isotretinoin The isotretinoin HP-β-CD complex was prepared by freeze-drying method and characterized by IR spectroscopy The drug and drug-CD complex loaded elastic liposomal formulation were prepared and characterized in vitro, ex-vivo and in vivo for shape, size, entrapment efficiency, no of vesicles per cubic mm, in vitro skin permeation and deposition study, photodegradation and skin toxicity assay The transdermal flux for different vesicular formulations was observed between 105 ± 05 to 139 ± 16 μg/cm2/h This is about 15-21 folds higher than that obtained from drug solution (07 ± 01 μg/cm2/h) and 4-5 folds higher than obtained with drug-CD complex solution (27 ± 01 μg/cm2/h) The amount of drug deposit was found to increase significantly (p < 005) by cyclodextrin complexation (301 ± 01 μg) The encapsulation of this complex in elastic liposomal formulation further increases its skin deposition (2622 ± 21 μg) The results of skin irritation study using Draize test also showed the significant reduction in skin irritation potential of isotretinoin elastic liposomal formulation in comparison to free drug The results of the present study demonstrated that isotretinoin elastic liposomal formulation possesses great potential for skin targeting, prolonging drug release, reduction of photodegradation, reducing skin irritation and improving topical delivery of isotretinoin

Abstract: Coordination of different business activities among units becomes vital as organizations pay much attention to their core activities. Thus, their fruitfulness constantly relies on their capacity to coordinate their internal and external activities in the supply chain outside their own boundaries. Giving consideration to these obvious reasons, this paper aims to investigate the determinants of supply chain coordination of milk and dairy industries. The data were collected from 330 milk suppliers, processors, and retailers in the central part of Ethiopia. The structural equation modeling has been employed to develop the structural relationship between key constructs and measured variables. In total, 15 measured variables for coordination in the supply chain have been identified. These are further grouped into four factors namely, non-price coordination, price coordination, relationships and product development decision. It has been observed that the implementation of these factors could maximize the coordination linkage among supply chain members. Thus, dairy sectors should take the identified coordination factors into account in each of their business dealings.

Abstract: Wireless Sensor networks include large amount of low power, low priced sensor nodes generally deployed in hostile and harsh environment to sense, collect and transmit data to sink at far distance. Clustering has been widely studied to enhance the lifetime of WSN by reducing the number packet transmission. In clustering, the nodes selected as cluster head, often suffer from high overload and thus consume more energy. Re-clustering is eventually performed to talk about the resource intensive cluster head role, which requires global time synchronization. To handle this problem, some recent research has been considered in the field of the wireless sensor networks. The overall objective is to judge the various limitations of the sooner techniques. This paper ends up with the suitable future directions to boost the existing protocol further.

Abstract: Cyclodextrins (CDs) have been widely investigated as a unique pharmaceutical excipient for past few decades and is still explored for new applications. They are highly versatile oligosaccharides which possess multifunctional characteristics, and are mainly used to improve the physicochemical stability, solubility, dissolution rate, and bioavailability of drugs. Stability constant, factors affecting complexation, techniques to enhance complexation efficiency, the preparation methods for molecular inclusion complexes and release of guest molecules are discussed in brief. In addition, different CD derivatives and their pharmacokinetics are elaborated. Further, the significance of CD complex in aqueous solubility, dissolution and bioavailability, stability, and taste masking is explained. The recent advancement of CDs in developing various drug delivery systems is enlightened. Indeed, the potential of CDs by means of inclusion complex formation have widen the applicability of these materials in various drug delivery systems including ocular, osmotic, mucoadhesive, transdermal, nasal, and targeted delivery systems. Feasibility studies have been performed on the benefit of these cyclic oligomers as nanocarriers, a strategy that can modify the drugs with improved physicochemical properties. Studies also demonstrated the feasibility of CDs to self-assemble in the form of stable nanoaggregates, which may extend the scope of CDs in drug delivery to the continually expanding list of new drug entities.
