TL;DR: In this paper, the key fields within structured light from the perspective of experts in those areas, providing insight into the current state and the challenges their respective fields face, as well as the exciting prospects for the future that are yet to be realized.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantum Spins Mixing in Spinor Bose-Einstein Condensates
TL;DR: In this article, a set of collective spin states is derived for a trapped Bose-Einstein condensate in which atoms have three internal hyperfine spins, and the time scale of spin mixing is predicted.
Journal ArticleDOI
Generation of spin squeezing via continuous quantum nondemolition measurement
TL;DR: Continuous quantum nondemolition monitoring of a collective atomic spin with an off-resonant laser beam has been performed and squeezed atomic spin states have been produced with spin noise reduction to 70% below the standard quantum limit expected for a coherent spin state.
Journal ArticleDOI
Properties of Two-Species Bose Condensates
Han Pu,Nicholas P. Bigelow +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a two-species Bose condensate was modeled using the Thomas-Fermi approximation (TFA) to predict qualitative features of the condensates.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spin-mixing dynamics of a spinor bose-einstein condensate
TL;DR: In this article, the spin-mixing dynamics of an $f = 1$ spinor condensate was studied and it was shown that the dynamics is sensitive to the relative phase and particle number distribution among the individual components.
