Journal ArticleDOI
Rat retinal transcriptome: Effects of aging and AMD-like retinopathy
TL;DR: The development of AMD-like retinopathy in OXYS rats is associated with an imbalance in immune and inflammatory responses, and the first analysis of retinal transcriptome from young and old rats with biologic replicates generated by RNA-Seq technology is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Application of experimentally verified transcription factor binding sites models for computational analysis of ChIP-Seq data.
Victor G. Levitsky,Victor G. Levitsky,Ivan V. Kulakovskiy,Ivan V. Kulakovskiy,Nikita I. Ershov,Dmitry Oshchepkov,Vsevolod J. Makeev,Vsevolod J. Makeev,T C Hodgman,Tatyana I. Merkulova,Tatyana I. Merkulova +10 more
TL;DR: The experimental study of TF binding to oligonucleotides corresponding to predicted sites increases the reliability of computational methods for TFBS-recognition in ChIP-Seq data analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular Adaptations to Social Defeat Stress and Induced Depression in Mice
Natalya P. Bondar,L. O. Bryzgalov,Nikita I. Ershov,Fedor Gusev,Vasiliy V. Reshetnikov,Damira F. Avgustinovich,Mikhail V. Tenditnik,Evgeny I. Rogaev,Tatiana I. Merkulova +8 more
TL;DR: The data show that the development of depression under social stress conditions is correlated with suppression of the overactive molecular response to induced stress, involving gene regulatory resistance to glucocorticoid molecules, potentially via a chromatin remodeling mechanism.
Journal ArticleDOI
New insights from Opisthorchis felineus genome: update on genomics of the epidemiologically important liver flukes.
Nikita I. Ershov,Viatcheslav A. Mordvinov,Egor Prokhortchouk,Mariya Y. Pakharukova,Konstantin V. Gunbin,Kirill Ustyantsev,Mikhail A. Genaev,Alexander Blinov,Alexander Mazur,Eugenia S. Boulygina,Svetlana V. Tsygankova,Ekaterina Khrameeva,Nikolay Chekanov,Guangyi Fan,An Xiao,He Zhang,Xun Xu,Huanming Yang,Victor V. Solovyev,Simon Ming-Yuen Lee,Xin Liu,Dmitry A. Afonnikov,Konstantin G. Skryabin +22 more
TL;DR: It is found that potency of O. felineus population for rapid adaptive response to control and preventive measures of opisthorchiasis is higher than in O. viverrini and C. sinensis and all three species are characterized by more intensive involvement of trans-splicing in RNA processing compared to other trematodes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cytochrome P450 in fluke Opisthorchis felineus: identification and characterization.
Maria Y. Pakharukova,Nikita I. Ershov,Elena V. Vorontsova,Alexei V. Katokhin,Tatiana I. Merkulova,Viatcheslav A. Mordvinov +5 more
TL;DR: The aim of this work was to identify and sequence cytochrome P450 mRNA from O. felineus and to analyze its expression at different developmental stages, indicating an important role of this biotransformation enzyme in the biochemistry of the parasite at the maritae stage.
