TL;DR: Dijkstrarsquos algorithm is one of the best shortest path search algorithms and has been applied in computer networking for routing of systems and in google maps to find the shortest possible path from one location to another location.
Abstract: Network is defined as a combination of two or more nodes which are connected with each other. It allows nodes to exchange data from each other along the data connections. Routing is a process of finding the path between source and destination upon request of data transmission. There are various routing algorithms which helps in determining the path and distance over the network traffic. For routing of nodes, we can use many routing protocols. Dijkstrarsquos algorithm is one of the best shortest path search algorithms. Our focus and aim is to find the shortest path from source node to destination node. For finding the minimum path this algorithm uses the connection matrix and weight matrix Thus, a matrix consisting of paths from source node to each node is formed. We then choose a column of destination from path matrix formed and we get the shortest path. In a similar way, we choose a column from a mindis matrix for finding the minimum distance from source node to destination node. It has been applied in computer networking for routing of systems and in google maps to find the shortest possible path from one location to another location.nbsp

TL;DR: The contribution of this research is to design an information system that can find blood donors in the Bandar Lampung area with geolocation technology and use the Dijkstra algorithm to determine the closest route, with a system developed on the Android platform.
Abstract: Blood transfusion is an activity that is often carried out in order to save human life. The availability of appropriate bloodstock is crucial for use during special medical conditions. Therefore, the blood collection center must ensure availability; therefore, it needs to recruit active blood donors, difficult patients to find blood stocks, which will be discussed in this study. The contribution of this research is to design an information system that can find blood donors in the Bandar Lampung area with geolocation technology and use the Dijkstra algorithm to determine the closest route, with a system developed on the Android platform. The system can recommend donors to patients who need blood according to the patient's qualifications. Results obtained are an android-based mobile application that can search for geolocation-based blood donors using the Dijkstra algorithm, which can map the location of the nearest blood donor based on the patient's location. Based on data obtained from the results of system testing on functionality and usability, the system can map the location of blood donors and provide blood donor recommendations for patients in need. System testing is carried out using the ISO 9126 standard using the usability aspect, which consists of four test characteristics: the understanding aspect, the learning aspect, the ability aspect, and the operability aspect, and the attractiveness aspect.

TL;DR: The results of the study show that in a smart city environment, where ecosystem services are valorised, air pollution emitted by vehicles can be removed by taking into consideration information related to air pollution reduction.
Abstract: Over the past few years, the ‘‘smart city’’ concept has emerged as a new trend to answer challenging issues related to urban development. Transformation of a city system into a smart system is meant to improve the quality of life for its people and their way of living, its environment, economy, transport, and governance. Due to benefits associated with the concept of the smart city and associated implementation challenges, traditional city systems have been undergoing transformation into smart city systems. However, observed approaches of transformation presented disconnected and fragmented city systems that usually hamper the interaction of city subsystems with the efficient and environmentally friendly urban environment. This work emphasizes the systematic view of a city system and proposes a novel method of smart city system integration. The results of our study show that in a smart city environment, where ecosystem services are valorised, air pollution emitted by vehicles can be removed by taking into consideration information related to air pollution reduction. A case study is presented to demonstrate that, with an integrated system, information outputs on travel decisions are different and more valuable. The case study explores the operability of the system, its limitations, and potential future improvements.

TL;DR: The authors are encouraged to develop an Android-based application, “TransTrip”, to provide clear information about the shortest path using Dijkstra algorithm and the type of public transportation that can be used to reach a destination, form a source location, with TransJakarta as the main transport and other public transport such as Angkot and Metromini to complete the routes.
Abstract: Government of Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, highlighted congestion as one of the issues that must be addressed immediately. The high population of Jakarta increases the number of vehicles operating on the streets and causes congestion that leads to a loss of 67.5 trillion rupiah. The development of adequate public transport facilities is expected to be one of the solution, such as TransJakarta which has flat and low price. The bus fleets of TransJakarta are also equipped with air-conditioning. However, the level of public transport users is still quite low because the use of public transport is considered ineffective as it usually cost longer time to reach a destination. Based on the factors, the authors are encouraged to develop an Android-based application, “TransTrip”, to provide clear information about the shortest path using Dijkstra algorithm and the type of public transportation that can be used to reach a destination, form a source location, with TransJakarta as the main transport and other public transport such as Angkot and Metromini to complete the routes. Notification to stop and transit features are included in TransTrip to answer the current needs of the community.

TL;DR: A smart waste bin system that is not only cost-effective but also environmental friendly, able to communicate with waste management companies to take care of the overflowing disposal sites and powered by solar panels attached to the lid of the primary bin.
Abstract: In a community with everyday growing population, the production of waste also increases which leads to the possibility of overflowing disposal sites This proposes a worrisome problem to waste management companies as well as people in the community due to the rise in pollution caused by overflowing trash Apart from pollution, diseases can also easily spread if overflowing waste are left uncollected The goal of this paper would be to overcome all these difficulties in handling waste through designing a smart waste bin system that is not only cost-effective but also environmental friendly This particular system would also be able to communicate with waste management companies to take care of the overflowing disposal sites The system involves the combination of a primary trash bin and an attached expanding auxiliary trash bin The primary bin will have an ultrasonic sensor attached to its lid which allows it to detect the level of waste within the bin and once it reaches maximum capacity, signal for pick-up will be transmitted to the waste management company Furthermore, to solve the immediate full capacity issue of the bin, the primary bin encompasses a compactor used to compress trash within the bin before overflowing Additionally, the auxiliary bin would expand to contain additional waste while waiting for pick-up The whole system is powered by solar panels attached to the lid of the primary bin, thus making it an environmentally friendly system

TL;DR: The concepts of Vehicular Cloud Computing to design and implement a real time parking reservation system that is typically built upon OMNeT++ and SUMO Simulators by integrating Bellman-Ford and Dijkstra algorithms to get the shortest path(s) about available parking spaces in a particular geographic area.
Abstract: the increased number of vehicles in a high density population area is an issue especially when these areas are unorganized in term of vehicles parking facilities. Having good automated road management and smart parking reservation systems can help to decrease traffic congestion, fuel consumption and save the driver’s time. This paper introduces the concepts of Vehicular Cloud Computing to design and implement a real time parking reservation system. The proposed system is typically built upon OMNeT++ and SUMO Simulators by integrating Bellman-Ford and Dijkstra algorithms, to get the shortest path(s) about available parking spaces in a particular geographic area. The proposed system has also taken into consideration the authentication issue to prevent unauthorized parking.
