Mathematics of Multidimensional Seismic Imaging, Migration, and Inversion
TL;DR: In this article, a general theory of data mapping and distribution theory is presented, along with the Fourier Transform of Causal Functions (FTF) for dimensionless variables.
Journal ArticleDOI
On the imaging of reflectors in the earth
TL;DR: In this article, a modification of the Beylkin inversion operator was proposed to account for the band-limited nature of the data and make the role of discontinuities in the sound speed more precise.
Book
Mathematical Methods for Wave Phenomena
TL;DR: Inverse Methods for Reflector Imaging as discussed by the authors, the Dirac Delta Function, Fourier Transforms, and Asymptotics are used for direct scattering problems, and the Wave Equation in Two and Three dimensions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nonuniqueness in the inverse source problem in acoustics and electromagnetics
Norman Bleistein,Jack K. Cohen +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, nonradiating sources, i.e., sources for which the field is identically zero outside a finite region, are introduced, and it is shown that the null space of the Fredholm integral equation is exactly the class of nonradiated sources.
