TL;DR: Melnyk et al. as mentioned in this paper analyzed key disruptive technologies which form the basis for the Internet of Things and revealed the concept of disruptive technologies as a phenomenon that opens a new cycle of productive forces development.
Abstract: The paper reveals the concept of disruptive technologies as a phenomenon that opens a new cycle of productive forces development. The paper shows essential disruptive technologies which have determined the change of socio-economic formations of human development: from agrarian societies to industrial and post-industrial ones. The authors of the article have analyzed key disruptive technologies which form the basis for the Internet of Things. Thus, it is stated that the innovations created on the basis of personal computers, mobile phones, Internet, Wi-Fi, renewable energy, 3D printers, digital technology, artificial intelligence, RFID tags, GPS, robots, and «cloud» technologies are the original components of the Internet of Things. A prognosis is that 37 billion devices will have been connected to the Internet of Things in the world by 2024. The paper demonstrates the economic view on disruptive technologies as a phenomenon that changes the benefit-cost ratio. The article reveals possible positive and negative effects of the implementation of disruptive technologies. The concept of the so called «the innovator’s dilemma» is discussed, and two principles of disruptive technologies are shown (creative, since it opens a new technological cycle, and destructive, since it undermines the production bases). The authors have empirically estimated the effects of key drivers that impact the average global GDP per capita. Thus, energy use, fixed telephone subscriptions (per 100 people), gross capital formation, improvements in life expectancy, and an increase in mobile cellular subscriptions are among the factors that increase the economic performance. TL;DR: In this paper, the authors estimate the degree of economic and environmental disparities within Chinese provinces for developing policy recommendations of regional transformation and find that an increase of 1% in GDP per capita basic year reduces the economic growth rate by 0.1% in the reference year.
Abstract: Rapid economic reforms and proper GDP growth in China has affected the regional development of Chinese provinces. This study aims to estimate the degree of economic and environmental disparities within Chinese provinces for developing policy recommendations of regional transformation. The reduced log-linear specification of endogenous growth model is used for the estimation of convergence rates within Chinese provinces. The empirical results prove that an increase of 1% in GDP per capita basic year reduces the economic growth rate by 0.1% in the reference year. Thus, the ratio of the average per capita income in the wealthiest group to poorest provinces accounted for the factor 9.6 in 1995 and factor 4.1 in the year 2015, which means a reduction of disproportionate development. Environmental convergence trends were also found and less polluted provinces eventually increase emissions at higher rates than the initially polluted ones. With the pass of time, all provinces do move to the same steady state in environmental parameters. The speed of the economic and environmental convergence in China provinces is rather slow, and the economic growth was achieved by great sacrifices of an environment, since all provinces are striving to the same steady state in terms of pollution increase. The industrialized regions due to the presence of significant financial resources should pay more attention to the protection of the environment using all the available economic potential. At the same time, both initially poor provinces and rich have to develop more profoundly agriculture, tourism, recreation, and other environmentally friendly industries to improve economic performance.

TL;DR: In this paper, a general formula for determining the magnitude of compensatory payments for damages from degradation/destruction of ecosystem services is proposed, which will help to improve the implementation of compensation payments in decision-making as well as drive green economic activity.
Abstract: A growing attention of researchers and politicians to the processes of formation and implementation of the environmental compensation mechanism is fixed in the last decade. Environmental compensation has been viewed as a national or regional regulatory mechanism that contributes to balancing the goal of environmental conservation with the goals of sustainable socio-economic development. The literature on the ecosystem service has developed the terminology of the eco-compensation mechanism. Still, they do not define its functional structure within its framework, in particular, a compensation mechanism for damage from the deterioration of ecosystem services. We characterised this crucial but relatively understudied component of the eco-compensation mechanism and suggested a general formula for determining the magnitude of compensatory payments for damages from degradation/destruction of ecosystem services, which will help to improve the implementation of compensatory payments in decision-making as well as drive green economic activity.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method to improve the quality of the data collected by the system by using the information of the user's interaction with the system and the system itself.
