TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the existence of Society 5.0 and the effectiveness of Industry 4.0, and evaluated the efficiency of United Nations Development Goals (SDGs) in this process, especially in Turkey.
Abstract: In the literature, quite limited research exists on the subject of Society 5.0. The present study examined the existence of Society 5.0 and the effectiveness of Industry 4.0 and evaluated the efficiency of United Nations Development Goals (SDGs) in this process, especially in Turkey. The research was carried out based on data obtained through a survey form with 30 questions which was conducted with 335 academicians working at Kafkas University. The data were analyzed by means of exploratory factor analysis with the SPSS program, confirmatory factor analysis with AMOS, and structural equation modeling with Smart PLS. The analysis results indicated that SDG9, SDG10, SDG11, SDG12, SDG13, and SDG14 had a low influence (i.e., R2: 0.172) on the application of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. Moreover, it was observed that the participants were heavily affected by order of the day and gave responses to the questions with that impact. The study also revealed that Turkey did not have a leading philosophy in the field of Society 5.0 and Industry 4.0 and made progress by concentrating on out-dated processes.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the relationship between intentional compassion, responsibility personality and employee performance and found that those with higher levels of responsibility had higher contextual and task performance than those with lower levels of compassion and responsibility.
Abstract: Purpose- Compassion, which has entered into the field of positive psychology and has increased in importance in the recent times, is separated from many characteristics by feeling, empathy and sympathy. Compassion is an emotional response that involves intense interest, sensitivity, active and positive participation, respect for one's desire to help. The high level of mental ability positively affects employees' performance outcomes. Therefore, merciful employees create more productive and trustworthy workplaces. In this context, the research is to examine the relationship between intentional compassion, responsibility personality and employee performance. Methodology- Research data were obtained from employees working in various sectors. The obtained data were analysed through IBM SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 22.0 packet programs. Findings- As a result of the research, significant relationships were found between employees' values of compassion, responsibility and performance. Employees with higher levels of compassion and responsibility were found to have a higher contextual and task performance than employees with lower levels of compassion and responsibility. Conclusion- Only employees' good qualifications should not be set as criteria in purchases to workplaces. It is suggested that humanitarian aspects such as compassion and responsibility should be examined.

TL;DR: In this article , a study was conducted to determine the mediating role of organizational belonging in the effect of employees' dark triad personality traits upon their perceptions of organizational politics and career plans.
Abstract: It has been estimated that narcissism, machiavellism and psychopathy, named as the dark triad personality traits, will have a strong effect upon career planning of the employees, their sense of belonging to the organization and their perceptions of organizational politics in accordance with the findings in the literature. In this respect, the present study mainly aims to determine the mediating role of organizational belonging in the effect of employees' dark triad personality traits upon their perceptions of organizational politics and career plans. The participants of the study consist of 402 academicians who work in different fields and possessing different titles at Kafkas University. The data which were obtained from the scale consisting of five sections and 79 questions were analyzed through different statistical programs. The results of the study indicated that the dark triad personality traits of the academicians were effective upon their career planning and perceived organizational politics and organizational belonging had a significant mediating effect upon all three variables.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the effect of premises on heavy work investment in Kars and found that HWI-Time Commitment (TC) had a negative mediation effect between career satisfaction and premises while HWI -Work Intensity (WI) did not have any effect.
Abstract: There exist some concepts such as workaholism, career satisfaction, work-life balance, work commitment and financial needs, which cause workers to put in more effort at the workplace and subsequently, an increase in their working hours. The main reason why these concepts are called premises is related to the fact that they are defined as factors leading heavy work investment (HWI) in the literature. Overworking has been a concept which could be measured only through time during work until recently, however, it is currently regarded as a concept which covers much more than heavy work as a result of HWI. The present study contributes to the literature by determining the interaction of HWI with its premises. In order to determine whether HWI is formed with effort or via time dimensions and which premises have been effective in its formation, 372 people working in Kars were surveyed on HWI and its premises. The data collected were analysed through Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS). Due to the limited number of studies on HWI in the literature, the effect of premises on HWI was investigated by developing more than one model. In fact, HWI-Time Commitment (TC) had a negative mediation effect between career satisfaction and premises while HWI-Work Intensity (WI) did not have any effect.

TL;DR: The paper discusses eighteen major applications of Robotics for Industry 4.0 and discusses the significant potential of Robotics in the field of manufacturing and allied areas.
Abstract: There is the increased application of new technologies in manufacturing, service, and communications. Industry 4.0 is the new fourth industrial revolution, which supports organisational efficiency. Robotics is an important technology of Industry 4.0, which provides extensive capabilities in the field of manufacturing. This technology has enhanced automation systems and does repetitive jobs precisely and at a lower cost. Robotics is progressively leading to the manufacturing of quality products while maintaining the value of existing collaborators schemes. The primary outcome of Industry 4.0 is intelligent factories developed with the aid of advanced robotics, massive data, cloud computing, solid safety, intelligent sensors, the Internet of things, and other advanced technological developments to be highly powerful, safe, and cost-effective. Thus, businesses will refine their manufacturing for mass adaptation by improving the workplace's safety and reliability on actual work and saving costs. This paper discusses the significant potential of Robotics in the field of manufacturing and allied areas. The paper discusses eighteen major applications of Robotics for Industry 4.0. Robots are ideal for collecting mysterious manufacturing data as they operate closer to the component than most other factory machines. This technology is helpful to perform a complex hazardous job, automation, sustain high temperature, working entire time and for a long duration in assembly lines. Many robots operating in intelligent factories use artificial intelligence to perform high-level tasks. Now they can also decide and learn from experience in various ongoing situations.

TL;DR: In this paper, a systematic literature review method was used to get evidence from the current knowledge linked to the Industry 5.0 phenomenon in the supply chain context, which is still an unexplored theme.
Abstract: The main purpose of this paper is to present what the Industry 5.0 phenomenon means in the supply chain context. A systematic literature review method was used to get evidence from the current knowledge linked to this theme. The results have evidenced a strong gap related to Industry 5.0 approaches for the supply chain field. Forty-one (41) publications, including conference and journal papers, have been found in the literature. Nineteen (19) words, which were grouped in four (4) clusters, have been identified in the data analysis. This was the basis to form the four (4) constructs of Industry 5.0: Industry Strategy, Innovation and Technologies, Society and Sustainability, and Transition Issues. Then, an alignment with the supply chain context was proposed, being the basis for the incipient Supply Chain 5.0 framework and its research agenda. Industry 5.0 is still in an embryonic and ideal stage. The literature is scarce and many other concepts and discoveries are going to emerge. Although this literature review is based on few available sources, it provides insightful and novel concepts related to Industry 5.0 in the supply chain context. Moreover, it presents a clear set of constructs and a structured research agenda to encourage researchers in deploying further conceptual and empirical works linked to the subject herein explored. Organizations’ leadership, policymakers, and other practitioners involved in supply chains, and mainly those currently working with Industry 4.0 initiatives, can benefit from this research by having clear guidance regarding the dimensions needed to structurally design and implement an Industry 5.0 strategy. This article adds valuable insights to researchers and practitioners, by approaching the newest and revolutionary concept of the Industry 5.0 phenomenon in the supply chain context, which is still an unexplored theme.
