TL;DR: In this article, the main objective of energy audit is to reduce energy demand and which will be affect on energy bill, energy audit gives an valuable information by an investigation about the energy requirements, utilization of energy, over consumption devices and the solutions regarding energy saving.
Abstract: Now a day's everyone is going to generate the electric energy by conventional and non-conventional energy sources. But at the load side if we see the demand is also increasing. Hence we decided how we can do some work to reduce the existing energy demand. The energy audit is nothing but the inspection of energy flow and make some adjustments for energy savings. The main objective of energy audit is to reduce energy demand and which will be affect on energy bill. Energy audit gives an valuable information by an investigation about the energy requirements, utilization of energy, over consumption devices and the solutions regarding energy saving. Energy Audit is defined as “the verification, monitoring and analysis of use of energy including submission of technical report containing recommendations for improving energy efficiency with cost benefit analysis and an action plan to reduce energy consumption”. As per the Energy Conservation Act, 2001.

TL;DR: Electric energy audit was conducted for a commercial building in Mchinji, Malawi, in order to identify energy-saving opportunities and the HOMER software was employed to design, optimize, and analyze a solar-battery-grid-connected energy system.
Abstract: Energy situation in Malawi is continuing facing critical challenges to satisfy the existing demand. However, energy consumption and energy conservation studies have been neglected to help overcome this problem. In this paper, electric energy audit was conducted for a commercial building in Mchinji, Malawi, in order to identify energy-saving opportunities. The study employed a mixed method research which involved a series of surveys, observation, data collection, and analysis. The current energy consumption was determined and compared with the proposed energy consumption after replacing some equipment. The proposed system saved up to 33.46% of energy. The study also suggested behavior change towards energy saving. Additionally, an alternative energy system was also suggested. Thus, the HOMER software was employed to design, optimize, and analyze a solar-battery-grid-connected energy system. The proposed system has a simple payback period of 9.8 years. The system’s cost of energy was estimated as 0.0372 $/kWh, and the capital cost was $ 150,887.

TL;DR: In this paper, an energy audit in hostel and mess of Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology, Janakpuri, New Delhi has been conducted to augment energy use awareness and encourage energy conservation practices by a thorough analysis of the consumption and wastage of energy through the appliances.
Abstract: The adequate and right kind of energy is necessary for the sustainable development of human society. Due to ever increasing rise in demand we need to take necessary steps to bridge the gap between supply and demand. The paper focuses on the process of energy audit carried out in an academic institution in order to suggest various conservative measures to make energy consumption more economical. Therefore, Energy Audit in hostel and mess of Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology, Janakpuri, New Delhi has been conducted. Thus in this paper, efforts have been carried out to augment energy use awareness and encourage energy conservation practices by a thorough analysis of the consumption and wastage of energy through the appliances. The detailed study carried out by us in this paper helped to bring out suggestive measures for cost mitigation, reduction of environmental pollution and monitoring demand supply gap.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors have conducted an energy audit in hostel and outside premises of Graphic Era Hill University Bhimtal Campus and have calculated total power consumption in hostels of university campus.
Abstract: Renewable energy is the best and economical source of energy. It is almost pollution free. It is right kind of choice for the livable growth of mankind. Nonrenewable sources of energy are continuously decreasing and they are main cause of pollution. To bridge the gap between demand-supply we have to go for renewable sources of energy. Government has taken a number of initiatives to promote renewable sources of energy. In this paper Authors have conducted energy audit in hostel and outside premises of Graphic Era Hill University Bhimtal Campus. Authors have calculated total power consumption in hostels of university campus. Authors have suggested ideas and encourage energy conservation practices to reduce energy wastage and the use of renewable sources of energy. Authors mainly focused on solar energy. Authors have also calculated the installation cost of solar panels and the recovery time required for its costing. By this analysis, our main aim is cost mitigation, reduction of environmental pollution.
