Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular basis for the catalytic inactivity of a naturally occurring near-null variant of human ALOX15

TL;DR: It is reported that a naturally occurring mutation in the hALOX15 gene leads to expression of a catalytically near-null enzyme variant (hGly422Glu), which may be related to severe misfolding of the enzyme protein.
Journal Article

Muscular training through localized in vivo electrical stimulations.

TL;DR: In vivo electrical stimulations were applied to the gastrocnemius muscles of intact frogs for prolonged periods which lead to improved muscular efficiency and delayed onset of fatigue which was correlated to increased tissue contractile proteins and decreased collagen content.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functional Characterization of Knock-In Mice Expressing a 12/15-Lipoxygenating Alox5 Mutant Instead of the 5-Lipoxygenating Wild-Type Enzyme.

TL;DR: In vivo mutagenesis of the triad determinants of mouse Alox5 abolished the biosynthetic capacity of the enzyme for pro-inflammatory leukotrienes and altered the catalytic properties of the protein favoring the formation of 13-hydroxy linoleic acid.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comprehensive Analysis of Serum Small Extracellular Vesicles-Derived Coding and Non-Coding RNAs from Retinoblastoma Patients for Identifying Regulatory Interactions

TL;DR: The data indicated that the size, morphology, and zeta potential (ZP) of RB and non-RB serum extracellular vesicles (EVs) met standard exosome properties with similar concentrations, and a comprehensive overview of the RB sEV RNAs and regulatory interactions between them was provided.
