TL;DR: In this paper, the need for energy audits, different types of energy audits and various types of software used, and the energy audit report structure were presented in this paper, which can enhance the efficiency, quality of power, reduce the tariff of bills, and reduce the wastage of energy.
Abstract: The objective of this paper is to study various methods adopted during the energy audit. Many countries are focusing on energy, not only enhancing the tenable power generation sources but also on utilizing the power more proficiently for economic utilization. The energy audit is an important parameter for all the developing and developed countries and they focus on energy efficiency, energy quality, and energy intensity. In the industrial, residential, and commercial sectors the top operating expense is found to be are material, machine, manpower, and energy. Identification of the energy-consuming sector is the prior attention to look for the energy-saving potential and quality improvement. Implementation of an energy audit can enhance the efficiency, quality of power, reduce the tariff of bills, and reduces the wastage of energy. The need for energy audits, different types of energy audits, various types of software used, and the energy audit report structure were presented in this paper.

TL;DR: The performance of this system developed demonstrated that it can attain thermal comfort level, and the result indicates Evapolar is fit enough in dissipating heat.
Abstract: Air-conditioning system that uses compressor-based initiate more energy and affects bill rate. As a result, an application of the Peltier impact module, a portable air-conditioning system is introduced to compensate user convenience by lowering sensible and latent heat inside the office area. Thermoelectric Peltier module is a thermoelectric semiconductor that offers cooling and hot plate once the plate is supplied by electric. The result reduces the cost, power consumption, and give thermal comfort in a dedicated space. The advantage of the study is the ability to cost deduction due to low power consumption and green technology devices factor because without refrigerant that harms the environment. Redesign the product with Evapolar as heat waste management affect the performance and need to be validated. The development stage of this product is better compared to a previous product which offers small scale, light, and portable. This product focuses on the office room, which gives a good feeling to users. This product uses air to remove the heat waste and the result indicates Evapolar is fit enough in dissipating heat. Finally, the performance of this system developed demonstrated that it can attain thermal comfort level.

TL;DR: This paper will review, investigates define and evaluates the use of fuzzy logic controllers in smart buildings under subtropical Australia’s subtropICAL regions, and define the latest development, design and proposed controlling strategies used in institutional buildings.
Abstract: Smart buildings and Fuzzy based control systems used in Buildings Management System (BMS), Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS) are a point of interests among researcher and stake holders of buildings’ developing sector due to its ability to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore this paper will review, investigates define and evaluates the use of fuzzy logic controllers in smart buildings under subtropical Australia’s subtropical regions. In addition the paper also will define the latest development, design and proposed controlling strategies used in institutional buildings. Furthermore this paper will highlight and discuss the conceptual basis of these technologies including Fuzzy, Neural and Hybrid add-on technologies, its capabilities and its limitation.

TL;DR: This paper addresses the comprehensive analysis of various energy storage technologies by considering their storage methods, environmental impact, operations, costs, and their importance and applications and recommends an optimal storage technique from various available storage technologies.
Abstract: This paper addresses the comprehensive analysis of various energy storage technologies, i.e., electrochemical and non-electrochemical storage systems by considering their storage methods, environmental impact, operations, costs, and their importance and applications. These storage technologies will help to reduce the energy shortage. There has been a significant deployment of storage systems in power grids throughout the world. The characteristics of storage systems such as the ability to act both as generation and load, fast response time, and high ramp rate. Make them promising options for the system operators to reduce the peak demand, and facilitate renewable energy integration. Various new trends in energy depict the ways this generated energy could be stored and harnessed. With the recent integration of renewable energy, it is important to store the energy and it is combined to help the green energy demand. The integration of renewable energy into the power grid has increased reliability, efficiency, and stability. Adding the energy component will further enhance the capabilities of the grid. This paper also recommends an optimal storage technique from various available storage technologies.

TL;DR: In this paper, a quantitative data analysis method was used in this research to see how raising awareness levels on the significance of energy efficiency practices, as a recommendation through an energy audit process, would help bring a solution to how to meet the high electricity demand.
Abstract: In these modern times electricity is one of the major forms of energy that is mostly consumed and is also in high demand by the increasing global population in to which Sierra Leone is not an exception. As a result of the high demand competing for the low generation capacity of the utilities, the Ministry of Energy of the Sierra Leone Government administration, charged with the responsibility of generating and supplying electricity, is unable to meet this demand. The rationale of carrying out this research is to see how raising awareness levels on the significance of energy efficiency practices, as a recommendation through an energy audit process, would help bring a solution to how to meet the high electricity demand.A quantitative data analysis method was used in this research. 120 structured questionnaires were used in collecting data. From the results analysis, respondents agreed that energy efficiency practices in buildings around Freetown, capital o0f Sierra Leone, would reduce electricity consumption. Furthermore, respondents agreed that an energy audit in buildings around the city of Freetown would help in detecting electricity wastage in these buildings. From the research it is recommended that building owners installed energy efficient equipment during the construction of their buildings. Universities/colleges should make energy studies compulsory for all students entering their institutions, policy makers must recommend to government the reduction of custom duties on all energy efficient electrical products imported into Sierra Leone.
