TL;DR: It is shown that wavelet transforms, constant-Q transforms and more general filter banks may be modeled in the framework of nonstationary Gabor frames and given the explicit formula for the canonical dual frame for a particular case, the painless case.

TL;DR: In this paper, the concept of Bessel multipliers is introduced, which unifies the approach used for Gabor multipliers for arbitrary analysis/synthesis systems, which form Bessel sequences, like wavelet or irregular Gabor frames.

TL;DR: In this paper, the multiple exponential sweep method (MESM) was developed to speed up the HRTF measurement by overlapping sweeps in an optimized way and retrieves the impulse responses of the measured systems.
Abstract: Presenting sounds in virtual environments requires filtering free-field signals with headrelated transfer functions (HRTF). HRTFs describe the filtering effects of pinna, head, and torso measured in the ear canal of a subject. The measurement of HRTFs for many positions in space is a time-consuming procedure. To speed up the HRTF measurement, the multiple exponential sweep method (MESM) was developed. MESM speeds up the measurement by overlapping sweeps in an optimized way and retrieves the impulse responses of the measured systems. MESM and its parameter optimization are described. As an example of an application of MESM, the measurement duration of an HRTF set with 1550 positions is compared to the unoptimized method. Using MESM, the measurement duration could be reduced by a factor of four without a reduction of the signal-to-noise ratio.

TL;DR: A new algorithm to estimate a signal from its short-time Fourier transform modulus (STFTM) shows not only significant improvement in speed of convergence but it does as well recover the signals with a smaller error than the traditional GLA.
Abstract: In this paper, we present a new algorithm to estimate a signal from its short-time Fourier transform modulus (STFTM). This algorithm is computationally simple and is obtained by an acceleration of the well-known Griffin-Lim algorithm (GLA). Before deriving the algorithm, we will give a new interpretation of the GLA and formulate the phase recovery problem in an optimization form. We then present some experimental results where the new algorithm is tested on various signals. It shows not only significant improvement in speed of convergence but it does as well recover the signals with a smaller error than the traditional GLA.

TL;DR: The Linear Time Frequency Analysis Toolbox is a MATLAB/Octave toolbox for computational time-frequency analysis that provides the basic Gabor, Wilson and MDCT transform along with routines for constructing windows and routines for manipulating coefficients.
Abstract: The Linear Time Frequency Analysis Toolbox is a MATLAB/Octave toolbox for computational time-frequency analysis. It is intended both as an educational and computational tool. The toolbox provides the basic Gabor, Wilson and MDCT transform along with routines for constructing windows (filter prototypes) and routines for manipulating coefficients. It also provides a bunch of demo scripts devoted either to demonstrating the main functions of the toolbox, or to exemplify their use in specific signal processing applications. In this paper we describe the used algorithms, their mathematical background as well as some signal processing applications.

TL;DR: A course in functional analysis is universally compatible with any devices to read and is available in the book collection an online access to it is set as public so you can get it instantly.
Abstract: Thank you very much for downloading a course in functional analysis. As you may know, people have look numerous times for their favorite books like this a course in functional analysis, but end up in harmful downloads. Rather than reading a good book with a cup of coffee in the afternoon, instead they juggled with some harmful virus inside their desktop computer. a course in functional analysis is available in our book collection an online access to it is set as public so you can get it instantly. Our book servers spans in multiple countries, allowing you to get the most less latency time to download any of our books like this one. Merely said, the a course in functional analysis is universally compatible with any devices to read.
