Abstract: An exhaust gas turbocharger for an internal combustion engine has an exhaust gas turbine in the exhaust gas train and a compressor in the intake tract, whereby an adjustable throttle device is provided upstream from the compressor wheel, for regulating the air mass stream to be supplied. The throttle device comprises a first guide grid and a second guide grid in the inflow region to the compressor wheel. Each guide grid possesses an adjustable grid geometry.

Abstract: Ein Abgasturbolader fur eine Brennkraftmaschine weist eine Turbine und einen von der Turbine angetriebenen Verdichter auf. Der Verdichter besteht aus einem Verdichterrad in einem Stromungskanal, wobei mindestens ein radial ausen am Verdichterrad in Achsrichtung des Rades verlaufender und mit dem Stromungskanal kommunizierender Uberstromkanal angeordnet ist. Zur variablen Einstellung des wirksamen Stromungsquerschnitts des Uberstromkanals ist ein aus zwei Teilringen bestehender Uberstromring vorgesehen, dessen Teilringe relativ zueinander verstellbar sind. Abstract: An exhaust-gas turbocharger for an internal combustion engine includes an exhaust-gas turbine in the exhaust section and a compressor in the intake tract. The compressor includes a compressor impeller in an inflow passage in the compressor housing. Furthermore, there is an auxiliary-air feed device, which is assigned to the compressor region and has an auxiliary-air passage, in the compressor housing for supplying auxiliary air, which can be introduced via an injection opening in the wall of the inflow passage of the compressor into the flow-facing region of the compressor impeller.

A compressor rotor is arranged in a compressor inlet channel. In order to achieve a greater range of utilization, an adjustable shutoff element is arranged in the compressor inlet channel, upstream from the compressor rotor, for variable adjustment of the effective cross-section.

Abstract: Methods and systems for low emission power generation in hydrocarbon recovery processes are provided. One system includes integrated pressure maintenance and miscible flood systems with low emission power generation. An alternative system provides for low emission power generation, carbon sequestration, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), or carbon dioxide sales using a hot gas expander and external combustor. Another alternative system provides for low emission power generation using a gas power turbine to compress air in the inlet compressor and generate power using hot carbon dioxide laden gas in the expander. Other efficiencies may be gained by incorporating heat cross-exchange, a desalination plant, co-generation, and other features.
