TL;DR: In this article, a multiple speed transmission with an input member, an output member, a plurality of planetary gearsets and a multiplicity of interconnecting members and a plurality torque-transmitting mechanisms is presented.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a multiple speed transmission having an input member, an output member, a plurality of planetary gearsets, a plurality of interconnecting members and a plurality of torque-transmitting mechanisms. Each of the plurality of planetary gearsets includes a sun gear, a ring gear, and a carrier member with pinion gears. The input member is selectively interconnected with at least one member of one of the plurality of planetary gear sets, and the output member is continuously interconnected with another member of one of the plurality of planetary gear sets. At least ten forward speeds and one reverse speed are achieved by the selective engagement of the plurality of torque-transmitting mechanisms.

TL;DR: In this article, a multi-step transmission of a planetary design is described, which includes a transmission input shaft and a transmission output shaft, and at least six shift elements, including first and second brakes and first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth shafts.
Abstract: A multi step transmission, of a planetary design, which has an external housing and includes a transmission input shaft and a transmission output shaft. First, second, third and fourth planetary gear sets are each accommodated within the transmission housing along with third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth shafts, and at least six shift elements. The at least six shift elements comprises first and second brakes and first, second, third and fourth clutches, whose selected engagement produces different transmission ratios between the drive shaft and the output shaft such that nine separate forward gears and one reverse gear can be achieved. For each of the forward and reverse gears, only three of the six shift elements are engaged.

Abstract: A multi-stage transmission with nine forward gears and one reverse gear comprising four planetary gear sets, eight rotatable shafts and six shift elements. The sun gear of the first set is connected to fourth shaft which is couplable to a housing by the first brake, the carrier of the first set is connected to the third shaft, which is coupled to the housing by the second brake, which is detachably connectable to the drive shaft, via the first clutch, and via a second clutch is detachably connectable to the seventh shaft. The seventh shaft is connected to the ring gear of the second set and with the sun of the fourth set, and the drive shaft is connected to the sun of the second set and to the carrier of the third set. The sixth shaft is connected to the ring gear of the first set, the carrier of the second set and the sun gear of the third set. The ring gear of the fourth set is connected to the fifth shaft which can be coupled to the housing via the third brake. The output shaft, via a third clutch, is detachably connectable to the eighth shaft, which is connected to the ring gear of the second set and to the carrier of the fourth set.

TL;DR: In this article, a multistep reduction gear consisting of a drive shaft (1) which is connected to a front-mounted group (VS), an output shaft (3) which was connected to the rear-mounted groups (NS), switch elements (A, B, C, D, E) acting on the frontmounted group and switch elements(M, H, L) Acting on the rear mounted group (NS) was introduced.
Abstract: The invention relates to a multistep reduction gear comprising a drive shaft (1) which is connected to a front-mounted group (VS), an output shaft (3) which is connected to a rear-mounted group (NS), switch elements (A, B, C, D, E) acting on the front-mounted group (VS) and switch elements (M, H, L) acting on the rear-mounted group (NS). By selectively switching said switch elements (A, B, C, D, E and M, H, L), an input speed (n) of the drive shaft (1) is transferred to the output shaft (3) for passing at least seven forward gears, in such a way that in order to change to the next highest or next lowest gear by means of the switch elements which have just been actuated, respectively only one switching element is disconnected and a further switch element is connected.

TL;DR: A multi-speed transmission has three planetary gear sets and six torque-transmitting mechanism packaged in various ones of five zones within a transmission cavity as discussed by the authors, each planetary gear set has a ring gear member, a sun gear member and a carrier member that rotatably supports a plurality of pinion gears that intermesh with both the sun gear members and the ring gear members.
Abstract: A multi-speed transmission has three planetary gear sets and six torque-transmitting mechanism packaged in various ones of five zones within a transmission cavity. Each planetary gear set has a ring gear member, a sun gear member and a carrier member that rotatably supports a plurality of pinion gears that intermesh with both the sun gear member and the ring gear member. Certain members are continuously connected for common rotation. Specifically, an interconnecting member continuously interconnects for common rotation the carrier member of the first planetary gear set, the sun gear member of the second planetary gear set and the ring gear member of the third planetary gear set. Additionally, the sun gear member of the first planetary gear set is grounded to the transmission casing via a radially-extending structural member.
