Journal ArticleDOI

Economic threshold for soybean aphid (Hemiptera: Aphididae)

TL;DR: The ET developed here is strongly supported through soybean growth stage R5, which provides a 7-d lead time before aphid populations are expected to exceed the economic injury level (EIL) and exposes a larger portion of the soybean aphid population to selection by insecticides, which could lead to development of insecticide resistance.
Journal Article

Resistance of maize to the corn leaf aphid: a review.

TL;DR: Phenotypic and genotypic responses of land races, pure-lines, and hybrids of maize indicate that resistance to the corn leaf aphid is inherited, and multiple genes with large environmental influence might be involved in resistance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Region and Field Level Distributions of Aster Yellows Phytoplasma in Small Grain Crops

TL;DR: Aster yellows (AY), a disease of small grain crops caused by aster yellows phytoplasma (AYp), produces disease symptoms similar to barley yellow dwarf (BYD), and small grain production fields in Minnesota and North Dakota were surveyed to determine the incidences of AY and BYD.
