Nonparametric recovery of interblock information in clinical trials with a surrogate endpoint

TL;DR: In this paper, the interblock information in nonparametric analysis of covariance models based on a suitable aligned rank statistics is explored through a combined inference scheme based on intra as well as interblock rank statistics incorporating both the surrogate replicates and the validation samples.
Book ChapterDOI

37 Selected tables for nonparametric statistics

TL;DR: This chapter discusses the selected tables for nonparametric statistics, and in many simple cases, various workers tabulate the exact (small sample) null distributions of such Statistics, and these tables facilitate the use of these tests in practice.
Journal ArticleDOI

A goodness-of-fit test with nuisance parameters: numerical performance

TL;DR: Jureckova and Sen as discussed by the authors proposed goodness-of-fit tests for models admitting nuisance location or nuisance location and scale parameters, based on the difference of two estimators of the location parameter, that are asymptotically first-order equivalent iff the null hypothesis is true.
Book ChapterDOI

Extreme Value Theory for Fibre Bundles

TL;DR: In this paper, the bundle strength of a set of parallel filaments (fibres) is expressible in terms of an extrema of certain sample functions, and in this setup, the classical extreme value theory does not apply.
