Harvesting infrared photons with tricarbocyanine dye clusters.

TL;DR: The absorption of 4,5-benzoindotricarbocyanine dye (IR125) in the infrared can be tuned by controlling the type of aggregation in different media and implications of such dye cluster films for harvesting infrared photons in a photoelectrochemical cell is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photoinduced transformations at semiconductor/metal interfaces: X- ray absorption studies of titania/gold films

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of UV irradiation on the charge state and local structures of pre-and post-ultraviolet (UV)-irradiated gold (Au) deposited- titania (TiO2) nanocomposites was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamics of Photoinduced Electron‐Transfer Processes in Fullerene‐Based Dyads: Effects of Varying the Donor Strength

TL;DR: The long-lived charge separation enabled the characterization of electron transfer products, namely, the radical cation of the donor and radical anion of the pyrrolidinofullerene, by using nanosecond transient absorption spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Revival of Solar Paint Concept: Air-Processable Solar Paints for the Fabrication of Quantum Dot-Sensitized Solar Cells

TL;DR: In this paper, the feasibility of one-coat fabrication of QDSSCs from a lead sulfide (PbS)-based solar paint was demonstrated, which is possible because of its unique ability to regenerate after oxidation occurred during heat treatment in air.
