Docaid: Predictive Healthcare Analytics Using Na\"{i}ve Bayes Classification

TL;DR: Visual Analytics is a tool to cost-effectively sort the exuberant and rapidly incrementing data in the field of medical research and helps us cope with the assorted data in an organized manner, which the human brain would be able to visualize easily.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

MC-RANSAC: A Pre-processing Model for RANSAC using Monte Carlo method implemented on a GPU

TL;DR: A GPU based RANSAC algorithm with pre-processing of the assumed sample set of hypothetical inliers by Monte Carlo method is presented, showing significant improvement in the performance of plane segmentation algorithm over the randomly sampled subset of hypotheticalInliers.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

An automated video surveillance system using Viewpoint Feature Histogram and CUDA-enabled GPUs

TL;DR: The experimental evaluation on the static data sets and live scenes captured from Microsoft Kinect show that Viewpoint Feature Histogram can be successfully used as an image descriptor in surveillance systems and that GPU clearly outperforms CPU for larger datasets.

An improvement in the build algorithm for Kd-trees using mathematical mean

TL;DR: The proposed algorithm has been shown to reduce the number of computations in the build process and the Kd trees produced by this methodology are balanced, which provides an improvement over the traditional building mechanism.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of Road Crash Severity Ranking by Integrating the Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Approach

TL;DR: In this article , the authors proposed a novel approach for analysing road crash severity ranking by integrating all injury classified crash types. Andhrapradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, etc. were incorporated to analyse severity rankings by using multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods.
