TL;DR: A very small diameter helix shaped inner tube of a suitable ion exchanging material having a filament therein and having its terminal ends inserted into entry and exit tubes, and a diametrically slightly larger and longer length hollow outer tube having (a) the helix enclosed therein; (b) inlet and outlet apertures; and (c) sealed ends around the entry/exit tubes leading to the inner tube, and the method of making and using the same.
Abstract: An apparatus for ion exchange which comprises (1) a very small diameter helix shaped inner tube of a suitable ion exchanging material having a filament therein and having its terminal ends inserted into entry and exit tubes, and (2) a diametrically slightly larger and longer length hollow outer tube having (a) the helix enclosed therein; (b) inlet and outlet apertures; and (c) sealed ends around the entry and exit tubes leading to the helix, and the method of making and using the same.

TL;DR: Ion Chromatographie determination of S(IV) is described with special reference to the determination of SO 2 (g) and/or aerosol S (IV) along with chloride, nitrate and sulfate in particulate matter as mentioned in this paper.

TL;DR: In this article, the anomalous oxidation pattern of S(IV) in Hg(II)-Cl(-I) media reported previously is explained in terms of an oxidation model in which Hg2+ catalyzes the oxidation of S (IV).

TL;DR: It is concluded that the persulfate moiety, which probably occurs in small amounts in polluted air as an intermediate in the oxidation of sulfur dioxide (SO2) to sulfate, is a pneumotoxin.
