TL;DR: In this article, a diffusion denuder with a thin membrane tube as the collecting element and with a scrubber solution flowing in a narrow annular gap outside the membrane is described, with the advantages of the diffusion scrubber as a highly efficient concentrator of soluble atmospheric gases and as an integral part of a microflow continuous flow analysis system.

TL;DR: In this article, a permselective assembly for the selective transport of a species of interest across a semipermeable ion, exchange barrier and a method of operating the same are disclosed.
Abstract: A permselective assembly for the selective transport of a species of interest across a semipermeable ion, exchange barrier and a method of operating the same are disclosed. The assembly includes an inner tube of a permselective material disposed within the inner volume of an outer tube of a permselective material forming an annular channel therebetween. This annular dual tube arrangement decreased the hold up volume of the outer tube and increases efficiency of transport of the species of interest.

TL;DR: The performance of a differential pressure transducer as a viscosity detector in conjunction with a pulseless high pressure syringe pump designed for the purpose is described in this article.
Abstract: The performance of a differential pressure transducer as a viscosity detector in conjunction with a pulseless high pressure syringe pump designed for the purpose is described. The detector, although relatively insensitive, is inexpensive and extremely rugged. Because it is non-destructive and introduces very little dispersion, serial coupling ahead of other detectors is possible. Response behavior is demonstrated.

TL;DR: In this paper, a new indicator, 2-(8-hydroxy-3,6-disulfo-1-naphthylazo)-1,8-dihydroxynaphthalene-3-6disulfonic acid (Beryllon II, DSNADNS) is proposed for microtitrimetric determination of sulfate with barium.
Abstract: A new indicator, 2-(8-hydroxy-3,6-disulfo-1-naphthylazo)-1,8-dihydroxynaphthalene-3,6-disulfonic acid (Beryllon II, DSNADNS) is proposed for microtitrimetric determination of sulfate with barium. This method is an order of magnitude more sensitive (LOD 0.25 ppm) and has less interference than the existing indicators. The color change is sharper and faster compared to Thorin. Titration is carried out in 80% 2-propanol at an apparent pH of 3.5. The superiority of the indicator is attributed to the lower solubility of the bariumdye salt. Results are presented for environmental samples and compared with values obtained by ion chromatography.
