Diagnosis and treatment of primary lymphedema. Consensus document of the International Union of Phlebology (IUP)-2009
Byung-Boong Lee,M. F. C. Andrade,John J. Bergan,Francesco Boccardo,Corradino Campisi,R. Damstra,Mieke Flour,Peter Gloviczki,J Laredo,Neil Piller,S Michelini,Mortimer P,J. L. Villavicencio +12 more
TL;DR: Treatment in the maintenance phase should include compression garments, self management including the compression therapy, self massage and meticulous personal hygiene and skin care in addition to lymph-transport promoting excercises.

Journal ArticleDOI
Circumferential suction-assisted lipectomy for lymphoedema after surgery for breast cancer.
TL;DR: The incidence of arm lymphoedema after treatment for breast cancer ranges from 1 to 49 per cent, but most women can be treated by non‐operative means with satisfying results, where hypertrophy of adipose tissue limits the outcome value of compression or massage.
Journal Article
Dose finding for an optimal compression pressure to reduce chronic edema of the extremities
TL;DR: There is obviously an upper limit beyond which further increase of compression pressure seems counterproductive, and for inelastic bandages this upper limit is around 30 Hg on the upper and around 50-60 mmHg onThe lower extremity.
Journal ArticleDOI
