Journal ArticleDOI

Neutron Inelastic Cross-Sections between 55 and 140 MeV

TL;DR: In this article, the inelastic cross-sections for lead, cadmium, copper, aluminium and carbon were measured using a large liquid scintillation counter in a bad-geometry experiment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Neutron-Proton Scattering at Small Angles

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured neutrons of effective energy from 6 to 61$\cdot $5 degrees c.m. for neutrons with effective energy between 105 and 137 MeV using a liquid hydrogen scatterer and a large counter.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Analysis of High-Energy Neutron Cross-Sections

TL;DR: In this article, the square-well and harmonic oscillator optical models were interpreted in terms of the inelastic cross-sections reported in the previous paper, and the tapered density distribution was shown to suggest that neutrons in a nucleus have a larger spatial distribution than the protons.
