A method for S-matrix to potential inversion at fixed energy . (I). Method description and evaluation
A.A. Ioannides,R.S. Mackintosh +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a perturbative-iterative phase shift to potential-inversion method based on perturbation-based iterative procedure is presented. But the starting reference potential will often not be a practical limitation and test cases are presented in which the starting potential is far from the inverted potential l -independent potential.
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation of 6He cluster structures
L. Giot,P. Roussel-Chomaz,C. E. Demonchy,W. Mittig,H. Savajols,N. Alamanos,F. Auger,A. Gillibert,C. Jouanne,V. Lapoux,L. Nalpas,E. C. Pollacco,J. L. Sida,F. Skaza,M. D. Cortina-Gil,J. Fernandez-Vasquez,R.S. Mackintosh,A. Pakou,S. Pita,A. M. Rodin,S. V. Stepantsov,G. M. Ter Akopian,K. Rusek,Ian J. Thompson,R. Wolski +24 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the triton transfer on the ground state was investigated by means of the transfer reaction at 25 MeV/nucleon at GANIL with the SPEG spectrometer coupled to the MUST array.
Journal ArticleDOI
Energy dependent potentials determined by inversion: The p +α potential up to 65 MeV
S.G. Cooper,R.S. Mackintosh +1 more
TL;DR: The iterative perturbative inversion method is extended to determine explicitly energy and parity dependent potentials from {ital S} matrices specified at a series of discrete energies.
Journal ArticleDOI
The shape of nuclei
TL;DR: For the class of nuclei which are'strongly deformed' it is possible to introduce the idea of an empirically measurable static nuclear shape as discussed by the authors, and the limitations of this concept as applied to nuclei (fundamentally quantum-mechanical objects) are discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
The application of inversion to nuclear scattering
V. I. Kukulin,R.S. Mackintosh +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the application of inverse scattering in nuclear physics is reviewed, and various alternative approaches to inverse scattering are briefly reviewed and their range of applicability is discussed, emphasizing the various ways in which inversion can be used to understand nuclear interactions.
